Craig (00:01.515)
Welcome to the official Munzee Podcast.

Rob Vardeman (00:04.05)
I'm Rob, also known as Coach V, your host and the president of Muncie.

Craig (00:08.263)
And I'm Craig also known as Seemyshell. I'm here to explore the world of Munzee from within.

Rob Vardeman (00:13.362)
Each week we'll delve into Munzee's mysteries, discover treasures, and inform players from around the world just what is coming your way.

Craig (00:20.675)
So sit back, relax as today we chat all about obviously the week that was the cat's pajamas of mailboxes, some Thanksgiving and some turkeys as well. And a very important question for Rob from a player, but Rob, we're going to end today's episode with not one, but two tips of the week. We're giving two out today, a special two for one deal, mate. Double tips. I know.

Rob Vardeman (00:40.962)
Double tips of the week. That's amazing. Stick around. They're important

Craig (00:47.839)
Rob Rob, how have you been, mate? What are you up to? Last episode, you're on a little bit of a Debbie Diana, you know, like, you know, and you're getting back out now I can see a smile in your face, which is good.

Rob Vardeman (00:53.838)
Hahaha

Uh, yeah. Smile in my face spring in my step. Um, and, uh, yeah. So I was fortunate in that, um, I got to get out of England for just a bit. So we got to escape the blues and actually the grays and the darks and the rain and all of that. Um, yeah. So Lou had a, uh, qualifying, uh, race in Turkey. So, um, I've never been to Turkey before. Neither has she.

Craig (01:01.743)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (01:11.081)
Oh really?

Craig (01:15.731)
No.

Craig (01:21.986)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (01:25.357)
Mm.

Rob Vardeman (01:26.198)
And yeah, so I got to go there, stretch my wings, you know, took off and all that. The good news about all of that is that we flew out of a different airport than I've ever been to. So I was able to cap some stuff both on the way to the airport and there. So that was cool. Flew out of Luton. Yeah. Never flown out of Luton airport. And then we get to the other side. The other side of it is that Turkey.

Craig (01:31.343)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (01:42.783)
Nice. That's cool. Yeah.

Rob Vardeman (01:53.214)
In particular, where I was in an Antalya, um, is a very dry Munzi world. Very dry. As in it was a mile and a half to the closest Munzi. Yeah. It was physical. Yeah. So it was wild. I didn't have cell signals, so I was pretty much on wifi. So I had all the normal struggles that everyone else has when they travel. Yeah. So, um,

Craig (01:59.795)
Oh really? Really? Hmm? Ah! No, physical or virtual or both? Really? Wow!

Craig (02:19.804)
Yeah.

Rob Vardeman (02:22.898)
So I put some stuff out, a couple of them. I also found a geocache. But yeah, don't tell them.

Craig (02:24.588)
Mm-hmm.

No, we'll have to say that G word on this on this podcast. Of course we are. Cause we, we're global. We play everything.

Rob Vardeman (02:32.546)
Yeah, because you know, I'm absolutely actually we do, I do play all the GEO games. So yeah, I found the GEO cache. It was actually right outside our hotel resort. And yeah, so that was really cool. It was gone, so I replaced it. And so yeah, do a little maintenance both in the Munzee world and the GEO caching world. Yeah.

Craig (02:39.358)
Mmm. Yeah.

Craig (02:45.036)
That's nice.

Craig (02:50.2)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (02:54.947)
Nice. See, you did have a good week, mate. You did have a good week.

Rob Vardeman (02:58.894)
I mean, it was really good. The weather was nice there in that it was sunny. However, it was also very, very windy. So, um, that makes for a difficult bike ride and, uh, yeah.

Craig (03:04.298)
Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

Craig (03:11.067)
I did see that. So if any of you don't know our good old Lou Vardeman, Flat Lou, as she's known as well, you know the pink girl riding the push bike. If you don't know, if you're very new to this, she's an avid cyclist as such, and she does have a YouTube channel as well. It's called My Lou Tube, M-Y-L-O-U Tube. I think that's great. Rob, I think that's a fantastic name for her as well.

Rob Vardeman (03:22.051)
Thank you.

Rob Vardeman (03:32.558)
Yeah.

Rob Vardeman (03:38.047)
Yeah.

Craig (03:38.291)
And yes, so I do, I do follow her and I did see her travels as well. She ended up getting fourth, which is very, very good. Don't get me wrong. Unfortunately, it's only the top three that actually qualify and move through. But in saying that Rob, she, the other, the other members had teams, they had guys riding with them, like drafting and all that sort of stuff, whereas she's got you who can't ride a bike for society himself, let's be honest, like you can only scream from the sideline, go Lou, go Lou, that's it. So.

Rob Vardeman (03:43.433)
Yeah.

Rob Vardeman (03:56.223)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.

Rob Vardeman (04:03.14)
Uh, no.

If that, yeah, if that, that is my qualification. Yeah, she did, she did very well. Really pleased and, um, yeah, things were good. Um, yeah.

Craig (04:07.371)
Yeah, yeah. So she did a great job. Yeah, she did very, very well.

Craig (04:16.587)
I was going to say also, I just, I just recalled as well. This time last year, Rob, she wasn't even walking after her accident. So big shout out to Lou. Good job, Lou and, uh, and, and keep up, keep up the good work and keep up the training as well. So that's awesome.

Rob Vardeman (04:23.667)
Yeah.

Rob Vardeman (04:28.298)
Absolutely. Thank you. So yeah, Turkey was nice for us in some ways and a good trip overall. But speaking of Turkey, I have to say Happy Thanksgiving. Right.

Craig (04:33.625)
Mm.

Craig (04:38.951)
Yeah. Oh, of course. Yes. Happy Thanksgiving to you, Rob, even though you're not in the US.

Rob Vardeman (04:45.554)
Even though I'm not in the U S but legally I am allowed to say happy Thanksgiving to anyone that I want to. You know, they, as they say, Thanksgiving was yesterday. So, um, yeah. So anyway, Turkey, Thanksgiving, all the American holiday. So now that you're over there, hope you enjoy it, uh, for me. Yeah.

Craig (04:50.956)
Exactly right.

Craig (04:55.545)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (04:59.811)
Yeah.

Craig (05:03.183)
Thank you, mate. Thank you, I will do. And speaking of Turkey again, look at this. This is gonna be a three way segue. Speaking of Turkey, Rob, Rob. That's what I'll say. And that is I can now pleasantly, I was surprised. I was right. So going back two or three episodes ago, you made mention, Rob, back before Halloween that Munzee did something. And that is if you deployed a particular mech that was related to Halloween and that mech got capped by other people.

Rob Vardeman (05:09.695)
What?

Rob Vardeman (05:16.927)
Uh huh.

Craig (05:30.111)
You would get like this surprise little Munzee and then you hinted, you hinted, you go, Hmm, I wonder what holiday is coming up next. I don't want to say it in your accent, but that's what you said. And so I thought to myself, that's going to be Thanksgiving. That's the Turkey mech. So I've released a few Turkey mechs prior to Thanksgiving. And I was pleasantly surprised. I looked now I've got another 10 bowling ball gaming Munzees to my account because that's what you get apparently. And again, I didn't know this either until I spoke to my other.

Rob Vardeman (05:39.254)
Yes.

Rob Vardeman (05:55.468)
Yeah.

Craig (05:59.967)
One of the Munzee US friend being Joshua the geocaching blogger And he said to me well that makes sense Craig being a bowling ball because three bowling balls equals a two or three strikes equals a turkey in In bowling the bowling world like look at you guys doing all the underhanded work Now if you deploy a turkey now, you're not gonna get it because technically this is Friday the day after Thanksgiving So you're not gonna get it right so

Rob Vardeman (06:03.569)
Mm-hmm.

Rob Vardeman (06:10.638)
strikes.

Rob Vardeman (06:15.002)
Yeah. Hey, all right. So yeah.

Rob Vardeman (06:24.95)
I know. Hey!

Craig (06:27.479)
But these things happen, you know, and that may happen and may something may happen again, leading up to Christmas. Who knows people I'm telling you now, keep your ears out to when Rob starts to talk. Slow. I gave you that tip two or three episodes ago and it has rang true. See? So thank you, mate. I've got some bowling balls.

Rob Vardeman (06:41.61)
Yeah. Well, we've got quite a few Christmas related mechs, so stay tuned. Yeah. So how else have how how's it been going for you other than figuring out the turkey?

Craig (06:49.711)
Yes, yes.

Craig (06:56.323)
Good. Mate, that was my, I was so excited to talk to you about that, to be honest with you, because I figured it out all by my lonesome and I was so happy. The other thing I'm very happy about as well is that I finished the new, the very new secret Xeops and I got my hands on the pump corn as well. That looks, I like the pump corn, Mech, I like it. It looks really cool. But I'll give you a shout out now because this person reached out to us on, or reached out to me, sorry, on Facebook. That is Candyman9505.

Rob Vardeman (07:01.59)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.

Rob Vardeman (07:13.068)
Oh.

Rob Vardeman (07:16.642)
Cool, right?

Craig (07:25.407)
He was so excited. He got the pump corn hashtag one. He got the first pump. He was the first one to finish the, uh, the secret ZX for this one. So what well done to a candy man. Nine five zero five. Shout out there.

Rob Vardeman (07:38.986)
It's got the number one pump corn, which is super cool. It's an appropriate name for it. Candyman Halloween pump corn. I mean, come on. Yeah. It, it's right there. It's written itself. Oh yeah. I love it. So congrats to them. Yeah. Oh boy. So we've, yeah, I guess it's time, isn't it? To talk about what else has been going on. So we've had some.

Craig (07:42.647)
Yeah.

Yeah. I didn't even think of it. I'll be honest with you. I didn't even think about that. I didn't even think about that. Wow. Yeah, yeah.

Yes, the week that was. It is.

what's been going on.

Rob Vardeman (08:07.45)
Events that happened in the US. I'll go over those The we had them in Ohio, Pennsylvania Massachusetts, Nebraska, South Carolina, Kansas and just one outside the US and because it's always you go on Yes, yeah

Craig (08:11.821)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (08:23.339)
Victoria, Australia, Victoria, Australia. Rob, before we move on about anything else, I will say this as well. Yeah, this is random off the show notes, I know, but the events, this brought it up to me in my mind. People, if you're gonna post cards for events, I'm gonna give you a quick lesson now, and that is make sure that you put them at the cards for the time that the event is happening at that local time. So in other words, Australia, Rob, Australia's 14 hours ahead of time from where I am now, 14 hours.

So you can't post a card, like on the Sunday, for instance, here in the US and expect it to be Sunday in Australia, and it's not. So always guys, just quick shout out, always make sure you post your cards. You got a week to do it and to get the best spots, let's be honest, seven days out, you get the best spots anyway. So yeah, so post your cards seven days out from the event and yeah, do it the local time, not the time where you are now. So that's all.

Rob Vardeman (09:17.89)
That's a great unofficial tip for everyone out there. Yeah. I mean, that's, this is great one. Uh, I'll tell them how about it about the leaderboards from the weekend. So on Friday we had Ponia in, I assume 187,000. There were actually several that were pretty close, but they ended up winning Saturday, Skindo with almost a quarter of a million, um, Munzee prof XP to board and taxi fight gin.

Craig (09:20.639)
Unofficial tip. There's going to be three this episode now.

Craig (09:28.919)
Hmm. Yes.

Craig (09:34.188)
Mm-hmm.

Mm-hmm.

Yep.

Craig (09:43.88)
Nice.

Rob Vardeman (09:48.006)
Um, all over the 200 K Mark, which is again, pretty amazing. And then Sunday, Waylon with almost 400,000 and you know, he's the guy that does the Munzee events on the YouTube channel. And so as we've said before, check him out. If you haven't seen him before with his 400,000 points was nearly double that of super chuckles, your friend second place.

Craig (09:51.595)
Mm-hmm.

Oh.

Craig (10:04.717)
That's right.

Craig (10:09.162)
Mm-hmm.

Mm-hmm.

Craig (10:16.835)
Oh, yes. Yes. Second place. Well done. Super chat. Well done to whalen. And again, YouTube and the his he's Wayland's YouTube channel is Munzee events. And he does a great job of videoing their local events he goes to. I shouldn't say local events because he's in Minnesota. And yet I've seen ones from him recently in Florida. So you know, good job to whalen. And if you don't know who whalen is, he's the one that always wearing the this cutoff sleeve singlets whenever you're at events doesn't matter what temperature it is. Anyway.

Rob Vardeman (10:17.44)
Yeah.

Rob Vardeman (10:44.035)
Yeah, it's true.

Craig (10:46.815)
What events have we got coming up this weekend? We've got some in Florida and Texas on the Friday. Rob, there's no events on Saturday. I know, a dry day on the weekend as well. So here's a tip, another tip, fourth tip for you for the weekend. Get out Saturday because there's no actual events. So the points, overall points are gonna be quite low in comparison. So if you wanna try to get the first and get your name on the podcast, maybe Saturday is the day for you, just saying.

Rob Vardeman (10:52.81)
What a dry day of events. That's wild.

Craig (11:15.427)
But Sunday Rob, we've got some in Iowa, Florida, and again, down in Victoria, Australia as well. So that's pretty cool. Mm hmm. Yeah. Yep. Yeah, it is. It is.

Rob Vardeman (11:21.71)
Things are taking off down there, just warming up. And it is actually literally warming up, so that's good. Let's see, last episode we talked about the first possible mega event for 2024, and that is coming up in Orlando, Florida from January 11th to 14th. It's possible that a couple of the people that you're listening to right now may be there. Who knows? Yeah, right?

Craig (11:34.36)
Mmm.

Craig (11:40.975)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (11:46.839)
Who may that be you and myself and yeah, yeah. So, uh, that's a great shout out and start your trip planning now, you know, you've got, uh, you know, six weeks or so, eight weeks or so to actually get your trip planned right now to get yourself, get your butts down to Florida, Orlando, Florida. It's going to be nice. It's going to be warmer than it is in Minnesota, for instance. So make sure you get down to Orlando, Florida. And of course, we can't, we have to mention Dale and Bob. They're going to be there. Of course they are.

Rob Vardeman (12:13.758)
They will be there. There's going to be a lot of people. They, uh, they run between 50 and a hundred, um, each year easily. These events used to run over a hundred. So we're still trying to, you know, get everybody going back. Um, I've been there for quite a few years, as you can imagine. Yep.

Craig (12:17.484)
Mmm.

Yeah... yeah...

Craig (12:24.437)
Mm-hmm.

Yep, I come. Yeah. What I love as well is that there's gonna be five events over those three days five events over three. That's gonna be so cool. I love it. I love it. I love it. Before we move on Rob to the next part, I must say this as well. Sam our mate Sam, the man he reached out to me and he said, Craig, I've got some sad news. What's that? He said the Munzee monthly moments, you know, the videos that we've been doing, they the actual

Rob Vardeman (12:38.019)
Yeah.

Rob Vardeman (12:44.405)
Mm.

Craig (12:54.855)
the website had a moment itself over the weekend. So all I'm going to say is if you actually submitted an event over last weekend as well, you wouldn't have got an error message, you wouldn't have got a confirmed message, you wouldn't got any message at all. So just confirm your video is on that page is on the actual page. And if it's not just resubmit it and we'll go from there. So yeah, they didn't some didn't load up apparently, Rob and, and they didn't get an error message saying it didn't load up. So anyway, Sam's fixed that all up. So that's all done.

Rob Vardeman (12:57.55)
Hehehe

Rob Vardeman (13:22.544)
It's a badge everyone, don't forget you get a badge you've got a chance to win some prizes

Craig (13:27.228)
I wasn't gonna tell him the badge.

Rob Vardeman (13:29.654)
Never mind, there's a secret, but it's not a badge. No, so just jump in there, everybody. Just jump in. It's easy.

Craig (13:34.419)
I'm sorry.

Craig (13:39.175)
Mm hmm. Exactly. And one more thing before we talk about the things that are coming up during this week or this month. I've got to I've got to give a shout out. I've got to give a shout out to the Munzee Maniacs podcast with Kevin, Sarah and PJ. I've got to say it like that too. So I listened to the recent Munzee Maniacs podcast and I do enjoy their podcast as well. I think their banter is quite nice.

Rob Vardeman (13:48.416)
Okay.

Ha ha.

Rob Vardeman (13:55.33)
PJ.

Craig (14:04.579)
Kevin, Kevin tries to be the referee between the two, but there's the Sarah now and PJ. So a couple of episodes ago, PJ brought up my name saying that Craig and Sarah are catching him in the leader point in the points. Rob, I didn't even know because I didn't, I didn't have Sarah on my friends list. I didn't have PJ on my friends. I didn't know what points are at. I do have them on my list now and I have them in my sites. And so they've actually waged a battle themselves, not, not including me. This is nothing to do with me.

Rob Vardeman (14:18.574)
Okay.

Craig (14:34.263)
but they've waged a battle themselves. Team Sarah versus team PJ. Team Sarah is behind by a couple of mil. And so yeah, we go from there. I did put a post on the water cooler just to stir the pot a little bit more. And of course, PJ voted for himself as he would. And so that's pretty cool. And the first vote I got for PJ was from a bot, believe it or not, on Instagram. Yes, yes, a bot posted team PJ.

Rob Vardeman (14:48.906)
Yeah.

Rob Vardeman (14:57.785)
No way.

Rob Vardeman (15:02.502)
No way. That's amazing. It's probably him. He set that up, I'm sure somehow. Yeah, their podcast is always fun. It started off as just Kevin and PJ. I went on a couple of their shows early on and then Sarah joined in. Yeah, having a third person on that one does turn Kevin into the referee. But yeah, it's fun. They have a good time. They're in Japan.

Craig (15:04.424)
Ha ha!

Yeah, yeah.

Craig (15:11.129)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (15:14.571)
Mm.

Craig (15:17.856)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (15:25.059)
Yes.

Craig (15:28.752)
Hey, Kevin does a great job. Yeah.

Rob Vardeman (15:30.522)
He really does. They're in Japan. PJ and Sarah are. So the environment that they play in, as far as Munzee cover, is a little bit different than yours. So good luck to you. I wonder if you'll be able to catch them and how long it might take. I'm not allowed to choose Team PJ or Team Sarah. I've heard that.

Craig (15:38.816)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (15:43.186)
Mm.

Craig (15:48.217)
Well, in saying that... No, no. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're Switzerland. Yeah, yeah.

Rob Vardeman (15:57.606)
If I did choose, I would choose. No, I'm just kidding. I can't tell you. Yeah.

Craig (16:02.048)
Oh, I thought you were gonna. Jeez, you caught yourself nicely there, mate. You really did. So just quickly before we move on. And that is if you don't listen to the Munzee Maniacs podcast, and you don't know what we're talking about, go and have a listen Munzee Maniacs podcast with Kevin, Sarah and PJ. And I put them in that order as well. Because that's the order I like them. But anyway, I'll say I keep stirring it. I keep stirring it.

Rob Vardeman (16:05.583)
Oh man, yeah.

Rob Vardeman (16:23.932)
Oh, man, there's going to be this cross podcast rivalry. It's going to be great.

Craig (16:29.015)
I love it, I love it. Rob, new things come out, new things come out, the festive Annie mailbox, Annie mailbox. What's that? Annie mailbox.

Rob Vardeman (16:38.354)
And a male. Yeah. So, you know, like animal and a mailbox. So just a little play on words for animal. So this is a mailbox that is animal based, as in all 31 of the cards are going to be themed around animals. So it's all cute. It's all real cutesy. You know, I mean, we've got these creepy presents on the map and all that kind of stuff.

Craig (16:42.035)
Yeah? Ohhhh... Mm-hmm.

Craig (16:57.707)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (17:06.861)
Yes, it's time to cuten it up.

Rob Vardeman (17:08.51)
big Halloween, big, you know, scary, spooky, all that stuff. And so all the conversations turned into, well, let's do something cute for the month of December for the mailbox for something else. And, and yeah, this is what we came up with.

Craig (17:11.403)
Hmm.

Craig (17:18.855)
Hmm

Craig (17:27.034)
Now Munzee being Munzee, Rob, please, please tell me because I'm, I love my dad jokes. You know, I love them so much. And that's the one thing I love about Munzee is the amount of, is there going to be dad joke related animals coming through in these cars?

Rob Vardeman (17:41.822)
Well, I'll take you back to last year as I answer this. All right. So last year we had the jukebox mobs. I don't know if you remember all of the different records, right? That, that were, um, all, all I want for Christmas is Lou was one of them, you know, that was like a Rob based, um, deal. So taking, um, taking popular Christmas songs and, um, holiday songs of all sorts, uh, and replacing a few words. Um,

Craig (17:48.312)
Mm-hmm. You know what I remember. Mm-hmm.

Craig (17:57.355)
Yeah.

Craig (18:08.276)
Mm-hmm.

Not.

Rob Vardeman (18:11.742)
Well, I think that yeah, if you know us, and you do, you've seen you've seen in the way that we work over time. You know, maybe we're gonna wish you a movie Christmas or you know, something. Yeah, perhaps a happy new year. But then you go, wait, new year and then it's like, oh, wait, the new the G in you the animal happy new year.

Craig (18:16.211)
Yeah. Yeah, I do.

Craig (18:26.811)
Ah, yes, I like it, I like it.

Craig (18:39.943)
Oh, jeez. Rob, question for you. Who actually thinks up all of these? You got a team surely, or is it one particular person in general?

Rob Vardeman (18:41.683)
I mean, yeah.

Rob Vardeman (18:49.154)
This turns into a five person, um, brainstorming session. And there are a few people who come up with more than the others. And, um, they're not all dads. That's the thing, but they have the right kind of brain to come up with those dad jokes. So. Yeah.

Craig (18:52.488)
Yeah. Mm-hmm.

Craig (19:00.032)
Yeah.

Craig (19:03.475)
Oh, wow. Yes. I love it, I love it. We can announce the first one to come out on December 1st, can't we? Surely we can do that. Are we? No, no, the first... The first...

Rob Vardeman (19:13.334)
the first card? I don't... well, so what you're going to get when you cap the Animail box, if you have it, now you have to have it, you've got to purchase it. And the important thing is that you cap it every single day. It's something that you can move around with you if you're traveling, all that kind of stuff, nice and easy. Um, but there's a mech that you're going to get, uh, for purchasing this. And it's important to cap it on the first and it's...

Craig (19:20.127)
Yeah. Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

Craig (19:29.847)
Yeah.

Rob Vardeman (19:41.826)
Peter Cottonmail.

Craig (19:45.355)
Like the rabbit Peter Cottontail, but cut Peter Cotton mail. Yeah. Keep your munchies away from singing. Just saying. But I, I saw, I did see as well that, uh, this particular Peter Cotton mail for those premium members out there who have been saying, Oh, I have to deploy a golden carrot every single month. Rob, this Peter Cotton mail, he's going to land on the carrot.

Rob Vardeman (19:47.398)
You know, here comes Peter Cotton mail, hoppin' down the... Yeah, exactly. That one. Yeah.

Rob Vardeman (19:58.067)
And...

Rob Vardeman (20:03.147)
Mm.

Craig (20:13.151)
He's gonna land on those golden carrots and then these golden carrots are gonna be capped. Yes, yes, yes.

Rob Vardeman (20:13.582)
He is.

Rob Vardeman (20:18.89)
Yes. Because don't forget when you've got a bouncer on it, if you own that golden carrot, you can cap that bouncer. So yes, those of you who have complained that I've got 10 or 12 or however many golden carrots and no one's ever going to come cap these physical things. And this is so blah, blah. Um, this Peter cotton mail is the first thing that we have that's planned for golden carrots. Um, this isn't it though. So.

Craig (20:22.517)
Hmm.

That's right. Yes.

Craig (20:31.607)
Yeah...

Craig (20:40.895)
Mm-hmm. I like it. Carrots. See? It's what? Oh, there's more. Oh.

Rob Vardeman (20:47.958)
This isn't it. But that's not it. There's more for the golden carrots coming soon. But Peter Cotton mill is like the first push to he's that is one of the landing pads he'll land in other places. So don't send an email saying Oh, guess what he landed somewhere else. Yes, of course he did.

Craig (20:58.403)
Yeah.

Yeah, of course, of course, of course. Yeah. And he'll land on other things as well that people can, um, uh, if you don't have a golden carrot around you and you're not premium for instance, then that's okay. He's going to land on other things as well on other types. Um, but yeah, I thought that was pretty cool that he's actually land on the golden carrots because he's a rabbit. So it makes sense. Funny that funny that how, see, this is what I mean. People.

Rob Vardeman (21:21.667)
Mm-hmm. Yeah. Doesn't it?

Craig (21:27.187)
I don't understand how people turn around and they say to me, or they say to me, I read online, I should say, why is Munzee doing this? Why? Munzee has always got a reason people just saying, this is what I've recognized over the past two years. Munzee has always got a reason. You may not see that reason for you know, six months or so, but it's there. The reason is there. It's okay. Let it be just let it be, you know.

Rob Vardeman (21:46.05)
Hahaha

Rob Vardeman (21:50.91)
Uh, sometimes, uh, I will go ahead and be transparent completely and say that there are sometimes where we do put things out and where things do happen. And, uh, there's some one little detail that gets left out and, uh, and people start talking about it and, um, that's when we go, Oh, you know what we should expand that into, including this or whatever cubimals, there was always a plan with cubimals. The question was what.

Craig (21:57.661)
Yes.

Craig (22:06.276)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (22:18.678)
Yeah.

Rob Vardeman (22:20.474)
is the actual plan. We're going to do something with them. And you know, they went into crates and all that kind of stuff. So yes, there is a plan. You just have to be patient, unfortunately, sometimes longer than others.

Craig (22:22.375)
No. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Craig (22:27.478)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (22:31.405)
Yep.

Craig (22:34.755)
Exactly. Uh, before we move on, Rob, another tip, another tip. Oh man, this one, this episode is just full of tips full. This is the fourth tip right here. This actually tip is from Renee. I'm going to say Renee, Riney, Renee, listen to me. That's Australian. Uh, Riney on Facebook. They said when, don't forget to mention when moving this, edit the location. Do not under deploy. You, you edit.

Rob Vardeman (22:41.518)
forward.

Rob Vardeman (22:46.034)
Rainy. Yeah.

Craig (23:01.215)
location when you move it because it's the mailbox you can move with you so you can keep up your daily streak as well.

Rob Vardeman (23:06.038)
your, and a mailbox. If you undeploy it, you have to send in a ticket to support and we may not get to it in the same day. So don't forget, yep, just move it.

Craig (23:11.183)
Yeah. Don't forget, do not undeploy, just edit location. You heard it there. So thank you from Rhyny for that. That was a great tip, great tip. Rob, the new creepy mobs have been released as well this week.

Rob Vardeman (23:18.914)
Please do.

Mm-hmm.

Rob Vardeman (23:26.29)
Yes, we put some new ones out. So as we talked about Thanksgiving, you know, so we had sort of a Thanksgiving themed set. And one of the things that happens in the U.S. around Thanksgiving is, you know, if you've got the ability to feed your family and all of that, then sometimes when you go to the grocery stores, they'll have food drives. And so you buy some extra and you put it into the to the carts to wherever and it goes somewhere else. So.

Craig (23:28.387)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (23:35.823)
I'm going to go ahead and close the video.

Craig (23:48.469)
Mm-hmm.

Rob Vardeman (23:55.134)
We had a canned food dive, not the drive. So die, D-I-E-V, so yeah, canned food dive. So if you looked at them, they're crazy names. Andy, our artist, came up with some of it. Dylan came up with more screamed corn, crayonscary sauce. I mean, yeah, we're still in the creepy mode in case you missed it, yeah.

Craig (24:02.077)
No. Oh, D I E V. Yeah. Yep.

Craig (24:11.912)
I'm sorry.

Craig (24:15.246)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (24:21.613)
Yes. Yeah. It's still there. And also now as well from now, Friday, this Friday, as we're talking to this Sunday. So you only got three days left of this is the flat DHS scatters. They're scatters. So this is Dylan. This is Dylan's flat, isn't it? This is Dylan's flat. Yeah.

Rob Vardeman (24:34.486)
Yes, yes.

Rob Vardeman (24:39.326)
Yes. And you can always tell when it's Dylan's flat and he's got some crazy ideas and he loves old movies and all that kind of stuff. So yeah, he's got a special planes, trains and automo deals. So dy Ls his name automo deals badge. So he he's just too funny. And so it's a picture of

Craig (24:44.537)
Yeah.

Yep.

Craig (24:54.132)
Oh wow.

Rob Vardeman (25:05.098)
It's John Candy and Steve Martin in the original movie, Planes, Trans and Automobiles. So he's got me and him sitting there replacing the two. It's like what? It's super cool. I love the badge.

Craig (25:06.671)
Mm-hmm. Maybe, yeah. Yeah. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Craig (25:16.727)
Rob, you know, you know, I've got to say this, if anyone listens to my other podcasts at all, you probably heard this as well. And Dylan, he's, he's proud of his town. It's a rare things these days.

Rob Vardeman (25:27.074)
Hmm. He really is. He's proud of he went to Kansas University. Super proud of that. Lawrence, Kansas. He is from McKinney, Texas. He, you know, moved back there. He lives there. He is very, very proud of it. And that comes through and lots of things that he does. Your other podcast, which I was going to mention because you guys have mentioned this one and you talk about Munzee quite a bit is Treasures of the Town. And that's the one that you do.

Craig (25:44.879)
I have... Yeah.

Rob Vardeman (25:55.026)
Oh, Treasures of our town. That's right. I knew that it was an O because I wrote it out the other day. But yes, that's with you and Josh geocaching vlogger.

Craig (25:55.302)
Treasures of our town. Yeah.

Craig (26:04.343)
Josh and Josh the J.K.S. vlogger, he always says that line sometime in our episodes. Now that line that I just said, he's proud of his town. It's a rare thing these days. You know that comes from planes, trains and automobiles, don't you?

Yes, that's why he says it. And that's why I brought it up. That, that, that line comes from planes, trains and automobiles. So there you go.

Rob Vardeman (26:21.454)
I had no idea.

Rob Vardeman (26:26.366)
It has been a hot minute since I have watched that movie. I have issues with movie quotes. Um, other people are really good at remembering. And I remember things from like Billy Madison and, uh, I have, my brain is filled with complete, right? Complete nonsense in my brain and things that we used to quote at my mom from Billy Madison and all that kind of stuff. So yeah.

Craig (26:34.169)
Hmm.

Craig (26:39.311)
Yeah. Stop looking at me, swan.

Craig (26:48.747)
No, that's fair enough. Or Dylan, Dylan's going to know that one for sure. 100% because he loves his movies. And so when I say that first, Dylan's going to click on, and then he will hear your penny drop, which is pretty cool. Now, Rob, we have to capture at least seven tapes from these scanners. Um, during the world TV day event that's going on right now, and you get special badges as to which is pretty cool. Yeah. Yep. Exactly. Rob Munsey.

Rob Vardeman (26:55.359)
certain.

Rob Vardeman (27:04.046)
Mm-hmm.

Rob Vardeman (27:09.758)
Yeah, so go check it out before the time ends.

Craig (27:15.119)
question of the week for you. I've got one question of the week for you this week. Are you ready for it? It's from old man trouble. And again, on discord, people are reaching out to me on discord, which I'm very impressed with Rob. I actually quite enjoy your discord page. And it's from old man trouble. Rob, are there any Munzee types that ended up getting canceled or rejected? Hmm, yeah.

Rob Vardeman (27:19.081)
I'm ready.

Rob Vardeman (27:36.874)
Ooh, man, that's a good one. So quick on old man trouble that he actually deployed a Munzee for me last week after hearing about my Munzee blues and all that. He deployed it in Turkey where I was a message him and said, Thank you very much for listening to the podcast. Thank you for the deploy. Please move that to where I actually live. If you leave it here, you'll never get caps. And so he did that. So when I got back home, I kept it. So the answer to the question, are there Munzees?

Craig (27:46.827)
Mm-hmm. Awww.

Craig (27:53.635)
Hmm. Yeah, that's cool.

Rob Vardeman (28:05.13)
that get canceled or rejected. Our team has worked together for so long that very seldom are there ideas that we come up with internally that get canceled or rejected. Someone will come up with a crazy idea and we may go back and forth and tweak it a little bit, change things before it sees the light of day. But there is such a long list of those moneys. There are things that we would love to put in the game. So

Craig (28:32.791)
Hehehehehehe

Rob Vardeman (28:34.646)
The things that get canceled or rejected are sometimes the ideas that come in from players. Unfortunately, you know, like the give us a hundred dollar type Munzee or the million point Munzee, that kind of stuff. Yeah. So good question.

Craig (28:41.272)
Hahaha.

Craig (28:44.791)
Oh, yes. Yes. But in saying that, but in saying that to you, as a, as a company, a very open to suggestions of sorts, you know, some of them may not go through. Some of them may, some of them may, as you say before, you put on a backburner, so to speak, you know, and put in the, uh, to do list or possible this, which is pretty cool. So there you go. If you've got a question for Rob, don't forget you can private message me on Facebook, Instagram, or on discord as well. So Rob, we're up to the Munzee tips of the weeks. We've got two this week.

Rob Vardeman (28:54.772)
Oh yeah.

Craig (29:14.623)
And the first one is from old man trouble as well on discord. So you very, it's very, very cool. And he basically said, uh, Rob, uh, it's actually a question for you as well. To be honest with you, how many people upload a photo when they cap a Munzee like a virtual or a bounce?

Rob Vardeman (29:18.19)
Hehehehe

Rob Vardeman (29:31.022)
Not as many as should. That's, you know.

Craig (29:33.167)
Yeah, why should people upload a photo when they cap these things?

Rob Vardeman (29:38.046)
If you capture a bouncer, and this is like the temporary bouncer's butterflies, all those, um, or regular bouncer's, if you, um, post three or more photos in a month, we actually give you a card for free. A greeting card. It's called picture perfect. Yeah. You can get that. You can get it for free.

Craig (29:40.814)
Mmm.

Yeah.

Craig (29:56.011)
What? There you go, people. There you go. So three in a month, three photos in a month, and you post them with a bouncer and you get a card for free. There you go. There's a huge tip of the week right there. That's a pretty cool tip of the week. The second and last tip of the week for us again from a listener. They're in the northern hemisphere and going into winter.

Rob Vardeman (30:04.01)
Yeah.

Rob Vardeman (30:10.594)
Big time.

Craig (30:19.019)
They find it hard to cap while they're going outside, especially when the snow starts to fall, et cetera, their hands are frozen. You need gloves. You know what they said? Get yourself a stylist. It's, it's not, uh, it's, it's for good. It's for cold hands. It's also for good fat fingers like me who can't actually get the exact one. You know what I mean? So yeah, get yourself a stylist. If you're out there in a cold weather climate, get yourself a stylist and your phone work just as well, or if not better than your own fingers. So there you go. Another good tip.

Rob Vardeman (30:29.1)
Mmm.

Rob Vardeman (30:46.658)
That's a very good tip. Yeah, perfect.

Craig (30:48.531)
Very, very good tip. Rob, we're getting onto 30 minutes right now. So guess what? We're gonna end this, and this ends another official Munzee podcast.

Rob Vardeman (30:58.05)
Thanks for joining us on this Munzee adventure.

Craig (31:00.919)
Don't forget to subscribe, rate and review on your favorite podcasting cap, cap. It's in my mind, a favorite podcasting app. And join us next week for another exciting episode.

Rob Vardeman (31:11.49)
And remember, Munzee is more than a game, it's a worldwide community of mobile game players.

Craig (31:16.771)
So keep scanning, keep discovering, and keep the Munzee spirit alive. Rob, we've got this one, two, three, Munzee on. I think we did, I think we did. Ha ha ha.

Rob Vardeman (31:23.097)
Oh, oh no. I did it? Hmm.
