Craig (00:01.1)
Welcome to the official Munzee Podcast
Rob (00:03.377)
I'm Rob, also known as Coach V, your host and the president of Munzee
Craig (00:07.116)
And I'm Craig, also known as Seemyshell. I'm an avid Munzee player and I'm here to explore the game further.
Rob (00:12.177)
Each week we'll delve into Munzee's mysteries, divulge some secrets, and inform players from around the world just what is coming your
Craig (00:19.16)
So sit back, relax, drive your car, have your cup of coffee, Rob. Gardens, gardens, gardens. And then I'm talking about the one where you your hands dirty either, mate. How are you being? Look at this week has been huge.
Rob (00:28.905)
my gosh, like honestly, and I've written it in Discord, like people, this week we get to talk about gardens freely. I'm so excited. Man, what a week, no
Craig (00:36.386)
Mm -hmm.
Craig (00:43.042)
you
freely. So Rob, this show is going to be pretty much all about the garden and the new garden build because it needs to be dedicated to that. It is a huge upgrade to Cup of Z. again, we're going to say this throughout the entire show today. Sam, great job, mate. Great job. but before we do, what have you been up to, mate? You don't have that studious background like you did last week.
Rob (01:08.391)
Yeah, you know, hey, I'm back home. I am back in England, which is nice. The temperatures are so much better here. Wow. Can actually go outside and not melt, which is good. It's great to be with my family, but I'm really I'm done with Texas temperatures. I hate to say it. It's it's it's too much. Yeah, too much. Too much heat.
Craig (01:27.65)
Wow. Lucky, lucky your parents don't listen to this show. know.
Rob (01:32.873)
I know, right? None of my family, thank goodness, do but but yeah, like I said, enjoyed them. However, I'm here very, very short time because Lou and I are loading up we're headed with a couple of her teammates over to the Tour de France Femme. So the women's Tour de France that you know, Lou campaigns and her team the internationals back in 2019.
Craig (01:50.701)
Rob (01:58.617)
for a women's tour while it's happening. This is the third year for it. So we're going over. We get to hang out with some of the organizers. We get to chat with all the ladies, the cyclists. We just have a really great time. We follow the tour along. We cheer them on. I paint on the road like there's going to be some sweet stuff going on on YouTube and and our social channels. So yeah, if people have never seen and you probably never
Craig (02:12.087)
Mm
Craig (02:18.753)
What?
Craig (02:22.592)
Knife. Yeah.
Rob (02:28.157)
yeah, we get to have a really great time. And yes, I'm one of the people who paints on the road for the tour that comes through.
Craig (02:35.83)
that's really cool. That's really cool. My, have seen a bit here and there because I am a subscriber to lose a loo tube. She calls it on, on YouTube. And, yeah. So if you don't know again, if you don't follow Lou on her loo tube, then you should, because, know, it is pretty much though all about cycling, I will say, but hers is more of like, like almost a weekly vlog sort of thing. So she basically says what she's done throughout the entire week when it comes to cycling, you know, and stuff like that too. So she does a really good job.
really easy to listen to, know, and easy to watch Rob. I'll dare I say it Rob easier than you sometimes with your stuff. anyway.
Rob (03:10.121)
We have
Hey man, yeah, I agree, 100%. She does great job. We have a good time with it. Yeah, so what you been up to?
Craig (03:15.182)
Yeah, yeah. Well, mate, I've been hanging around. I just got back from California. So yeah, I spent I spent three or four, no, five, five days in California. So met up with a good geocaching slash slash Munzee player for the whole day and Munzee around his local area in the Napa Valley, which is awesome. I'd actually posted
We're getting into the gardens now, but I did post a garden in Napa Valley. There's a wine bottle and a wine glass and a nice little tray. I had posted that a while ago now. It's still not filled just to let you know. And, yeah, I had posted that a while ago and I hadn't actually got it. And so we went and got the wine glasses as well and the wine bottle. So that was really awesome. San Francisco San Francisco was pretty cool as well. Went for a day in San Francisco, took the ferry across. So yeah, that was all really cool, but more importantly,
Rob (04:02.313)
Okay, cool.
Craig (04:12.482)
today, this morning, Rob, right now, I just saw a Whelan video. Yes, Whelan again on YouTube. He's got another video. Do remember a couple of weeks ago, Rob, I pushed him. I pushed him to say, look, I made an announcement. he sent me like all his games that he plays at his events. And you know, that would make a cool video. So I said that he should do the video on the podcast or guess what? He's done it. And there it is. It's on his YouTube channel. Go and check it out. And links are in the description as we always say.
Rob (04:35.965)
Bye.
Craig (04:41.58)
But he's done a great job at these now before we move on. He does say this. can, a copy the games exactly the way he's done them or B recreate them or C make ones of your own that to like, make it inspire you to create games in your Munzee events, you know, rather than just hang around under a, under what do you call it? Like an awning in a park
grab a meal, for instance, as well. can play some of these games, especially in parks, to keep the Munzee players around, keep them chatting, you know, so yeah, do it that way. So that's really cool. So a good job to a wheeling as always. All right, Rob, we're going to move on now because we've got a lot to talk about. Firstly, the week that was, we had one event in Ohio by, Buckeye Casha.
Rob (05:28.101)
yeah.
Craig (05:28.413)
111 and a few of them were there as well, which is awesome. And around the world, we had Canada and Newfoundland, Sweden, Lithuania and Finland. Rob, what about the leaderboards?
Rob (05:37.705)
Well on Friday we had Herbie at 218 ,000, Munzey Prof second place, what? 190 ,000, Schmitz Fam for 171
Craig (05:47.982)
And on Saturday we had XP2 with 272 ,000 points. Munzee Prof in second place again with 268 ,000 points and Brandy Court on 254 ,000 points. That's pretty cool. Sunday.
Rob (06:03.657)
Yeah. On Sunday we had Keto Curry, 312 ,000 Mandela, 242 ,000, I know. And then Munzee Prof gave up early, 228 ,000.
Craig (06:13.486)
A second, a silver, a silver and a bronze if we're Olympic status. there you go. As I said before, Rob Munsey Prof is always coming second, but Whelan's not always coming first. So he's moving up, slowly moving up the overall leaderboard. So well done to Munsey Prof. Frank, shout out to him. I love the blog. All right. The current events come up this weekend. Are we ready?
Rob (06:27.345)
No.
Rob (06:38.503)
Yeah, prepare.
Craig (06:39.118)
In USA we have, if I'm wrong, I'm wrong, Massachusetts, Florida, Ohio, California, New Jersey, Maryland, Alabama, Indiana, Missouri, Minnesota, Texas, and Wisconsin, 15 events in the USA. And I got them all
Rob (06:53.841)
I mean, that was impressive. Very fast.
Craig (06:55.618)
You like that? If people don't know, they're all written with your short, like two letter versions of the states. There we go. Look at that as an outsider around the world, have.
Rob (07:00.093)
Yeah. Yeah. Well done. Yeah. Out there in the world, we've got one in Osaka, Japan, and that is our fellow podcasters, the Munzee Maniacs, PJ and Sarah. So good luck to them. It's great to see that they're having monthly events. Yeah, good luck. Grow that game. We've got two in Denmark, Netherlands, two in the UK, Switzerland, Finland, two in Germany, Hungary and three in Australia. Love
Craig (07:13.385)
Mmmmm.
Craig (07:29.504)
Again, see, there you go.
Rob (07:30.545)
New South Wales, Victoria and ACT. So yeah, I love, I mean, yeah, they do have the most as far as any other country. So three in the country. Well
Craig (07:33.952)
Australia for the win. Australia for the win.
Craig (07:42.078)
Exactly. Apart from the USA, of course. But anyway, triple points as well this weekend, Rob. So Friday, Saturday, Sunday, triple point weekend for all premium members. A quick question before we move on. And I didn't ask this before, so this is off the cuff. If I'm, if I'm, it's Friday now and I'm not a premium member and I want triple points, can I just get premium membership now and automatically it's triple points?
Rob (08:04.201)
Absolutely, however, it would need to be the online $30 buy it for the year because if someone signs up in the app for a subscription, it puts you in for a seven day free trial and you are not a full premium member during that seven day free trial and it will not count you for triple points for this weekend. So very important.
Craig (08:18.508)
that doesn't count.
Craig (08:27.95)
There you go, good tip. well, I'm glad that that question come across my mind. That's the case, awesome. So guys, there you go. Become a premium member, a full -fledged $30 a year premium member in the website and the store itself. And of course, if there's not going through after an hour or something like that as well, send in a support ticket and you don't go to the water cooler and go, I'm a premium member. Just send in a support ticket and go from there. All right.
Rob (08:33.245)
Yeah,
Craig (08:54.314)
Large events coming up beyond this weekend. Well, this weekend first, we have one in Wisconsin on Sunday happening near the Midwest Geobash. No Midwest Cash Bash, I should say. Jesus. All these. Yeah. It's in Wisconsin. Yeah. Yeah. In Wisconsin. It might not be the Midwest then it's just, okay, guess Cash Bash.
Rob (09:05.477)
It's the it's in Wisconsin, right? Is it the Midwest? I can't remember what it's called. Yes.
There you
Craig (09:15.479)
It's the cash bash mega for geocaching. And also it's hosted. This event itself is hosted by Dale and Barb as well. They're going to be there with all their store and stuff. And then we have on Saturday, the 10th of August.
Rob (09:28.489)
Yes on Saturday, we've got the Boston Bilston Bonanza. This is in Bilston of the West Midlands UK There are 30 people prizes are gonna be available grab bags There's 50 prize wheels that have been deployed along the walking track. Now. This is one of our new players so we need to get the support out there from the the English playing community and I'm sure that we'll see the numbers grow
Craig (09:40.897)
Mm -hmm.
Craig (09:47.615)
Yeah.
Mm -hmm.
Rob (09:55.963)
It's a big weekend as far as triple points. So yeah, looking forward to to seeing this new player really grow their area and everyone else kind of get together and help that
Craig (10:06.734)
Well, I'm telling you now they're off to a good start offering the prize bags and then the 50 prize wheels along the route. That's, that's next level. That's wheeling level. That's what that is. yes, exactly. Exactly. Then we have August the 18th. And I saw this myself from this one. The event is slowly growing in the Netherlands and there's 25 there now. So have a look in the Netherlands on August 18th. If you're there, make sure you log your Willattends and get to that one. in September we have.
Rob (10:15.241)
They've jumped in well beyond two feet. They're way beyond their knees in the game of Munzee, yeah.
Rob (10:36.617)
In September, we've got the events in Fort Worth, Texas. There are four events. It's September 20th to 22nd. Already 28 on the Willa 10, plus this is Munzee Mischief.
Craig (10:49.166)
Mm hmm. With good old Denali 0407. I've got to say the numbers the right way because we say the numbers differently the rest of the world. Anyway, after that we have January 16th and 19th in Florida, 21 Willa Tens there so far. And this one here is the Munzey Mecca, the annual Munzey Mecca. Get just butts down to Florida in January. It is actually quite nice weather down there.
Rob (10:54.094)
Yeah, is. Yeah, you do.
Rob (11:14.953)
Yes it
Craig (11:15.438)
Not too hot, not too cold, perfect. But you can always see the locals because they're all rugged up, even though it's, you know, 70 degrees. Anyway, I'm going to say the next one, Rob, it's the Munzee Quest and Block Party. Why? Because now there's two events over two days down there. Yeah, this one's new. So January 25th and 26th in Sydney, Australia. And it coincides with the GeoQuest Geocaching Mega and their Block Party as well. This is going to grow the same as what the ACT did. I'm sure of it.
Rob (11:30.775)
cool.
Craig (11:44.079)
So if you're listening to this itself and you've got friends that are coming along, but they haven't put their will attending, get your will attends in ASAP for this, just so the host themselves know what's going to, how many people are going to attend, what to account for, et cetera, et cetera from there. And if of course, if you're a host with a growing event and I haven't noticed yet, which is rare, please reach out to me and we can have a look at what it is like. Meanwhile, Robert, let's move on now to the garden talk. You know, let's get our green thumbs on. What do you
Rob (12:13.415)
Well, I'm very excited about the gardens and can't wait to talk about it, but I would like to first mention the one major problem that I have with Cup of Z gardens.
Craig (12:16.536)
Mm -hmm.
Rob (12:29.693)
Well, I don't know. Should we start that way
Craig (12:30.648)
Go ahead.
Well, you're gonna leave it to late. You're gonna leave me hanging on Rob. Because that isn't in the show notes. You're gonna leave me hanging. Here I am again. See, there we go. All right, leave me hanging. All right, all right, all
Rob (12:36.229)
Of I am. yeah. You know. Coming soon. Stay tuned for what I hate most about Cup of Zee Gardens.
Craig (12:48.238)
Fair enough. All right, Rob, let's start with the history. did some did some research on this. I've started. You impressed? Yeah. Yeah, I did some history on these gardens. Okay. Munzee gardens. First of all, if you don't know what a Munzee garden in basically, it's like an artwork or a, you know, a picture or a display of some sort of stuff made out of virtual pins. Mostly they make pictures of some sort, the good ones make all good pictures. There's several
Rob (12:54.343)
I'm very impressed by these notes. I have to tell you.
Craig (13:16.066)
hundred out there at the moment, if not thousands, and you can have a look on Cuppa Z. So that's what they are. You can build them yourself or you can actually just deploy, you know what I mean? So it makes it easier. There's some people Rob out there that haven't deployed ever in a garden. And that's the people who can do it very, very simply. And we'll get onto that in, in today's show as well. But firstly, the history of the gardens, the very first gardens, Rob, and this was sent to me, by the way, some of this information was actually sent to me.
by other Munzee players. Yes. The first gardens were actually hand drawn in Google spreadsheets in the early 2014. And that's when the gardens first started. That's 10 years ago. We've had 10 years of gardens, The first Munzee POI. So this is after obviously, you you guys realized, hang on, this garden could be a thing. So you developed the POI for the gardens. That was in November of 2018. So four years later.
Rob (13:46.205)
Was it nice?
Rob (13:58.515)
Yeah.
Craig (14:14.35)
Some things don't move as quick as others. What they do now, now they move quick. the first garden of the month winners. Here you go, Rob. It was announced in January of 2019 and there was two of them. One was a burger and pizza in Minnesota. And the other one was the sunset cowboy in good old Texas.
Rob (14:33.105)
Well, that is actually very interesting. mean, there's some history I didn't even realize. Yeah.
Craig (14:39.186)
there you go. You're welcome. Meanwhile, mate, Sam has been working on this in the background, of course, for quite some time. You've got more information in regards to what he's done, how he's done, how long it's taken him to build this stuff. Let us know a little bit about Sam and what he's done with
Rob (14:56.457)
Well, Sam, what a great guy. Like, honestly, amazing. you know, I mean, I met him. He was a kid. literally a kid like 10, back. Yeah. I mean, he's 18 now. Yeah. But, but a, but at the age of 10, you know, and, and, so we're talking to eight years ago, nine years ago. and, yeah, he, he.
Craig (14:58.86)
Mm -hmm. I know.
Craig (15:08.718)
He, he still is. What is he 18 now?
Rob (15:25.065)
started coding, I guess when he was 13 ish, he's been working on various versions of this cup of Z gardens tool for three years now. So this is a project that he started. He and I had talked behind the scenes three years ago about this stuff. He built what he called cup of Z create. He had some beta testers that have been working on that for probably two years now. And
Craig (15:34.497)
Wow.
Rob (15:55.141)
working on some tools that I jumped in, it was very confusing for me. I had a hard time using cubzy create. I can build gardens that are basically squares, rectangles as well, but that's about the extent of my abilities. so yeah, now now, now now I've already built a circle. What I built a bullseye. It's amazing. It's the coolest garden I've ever built. So yeah, it's really cool.
Craig (16:06.723)
Mm -hmm.
Craig (16:11.53)
Now circle two, you're saying.
Rob (16:24.925)
He's been working on this more consistently for the last two years. And in particular, you know, we, we hired Sam, we brought cup of Z into the freeze tag family. Not quite a year ago, I guess. Actually he should know the anniversary. I, it fails my memory at the moment, but, yeah, he, once we brought him on, this was the conversation that he and
I want you to push this cup of Z garden builder is what we've been calling it behind the scenes for for more than a year. And we transitioned it from not being really a builder into more like this is just cup of Z gardens. So it's something where everyone can see them, everyone can deploy in them. And then for those special people, the less than 100 out there in the world that like to build gardens.
Craig (16:56.707)
Mm -hmm.
Rob (17:18.505)
You have the ability to build gardens like literally there are not 100 people out there that are doing this at this moment in time. yeah, for those of you that enjoy it, keep doing it. And for those of you who've never tried Sam, Sam has made it very easy. I can do it. Give it a try. There's a delete button if it's not going well for you. I've deleted
Craig (17:18.621)
Craig (17:25.046)
Really? Really?
Craig (17:34.166)
Yeah.
Craig (17:39.83)
There you go. And this is true. And we'll get onto exactly that about it in the meantime. But before we do Rob, we're to talk about deploying in the garden. Okay. So, mostly everyone's going to use this as a deploy feature first and foremost. So this deploy feature now it is almost foolproof, like pretty much almost foolproof. Almost. Yeah, that's right. And it's still a work in progress as well. So if people, if you're out there and you have played around with this garden deploy and you
Rob (17:57.821)
Almost. We're still humans, aren't
Craig (18:08.946)
it just doesn't do this for me or I would like it to do that. Then that's what there's a contact button in there to contact Sam and reach out and say, does it cause you'd never know Rob, it may already do it, but there's a backend to it. For instance, you know, there's a different button to click or whatever, or it's not available, but Sam's like, well, hang on, this is the third person's asked for this. So I'm not looking at putting it in talks to you and then, you know, and reshapes then the actual deploy. So that's what it's all about. Deploying is very easy people.
Quick research, there is a video that's out already, with my ugly mug in it too, letting you know how to deploy. So go and look at that video. This here, this Munzee podcast is pretty much just gonna be a supplementary to those videos in regards to how to build and how to deploy. But Rob, your thoughts on the deploying part, just for the time being.
Rob (18:42.259)
Hahaha.
Rob (18:55.557)
never been easier previously. You know, you had to go in, you had to copy, latitude first and put it in then longitude, put it in on a, on a Munzee like super annoying because there were two boxes. Then you had to copy, you know, the link to your Munzee in order for the owner of the spreadsheet to verify it. We don't have to do any of that anymore. It's a.
Craig (19:01.516)
Mm -hmm.
Yeah.
Craig (19:17.238)
You then have to change the color as well after you had to convert it after you deploy it like.
Rob (19:21.418)
I it's so easy. Anyway, I can't talk about my problems yet, but it's so
Craig (19:26.966)
If you got, if you got the wrong, if you got the wrong color, you couldn't change it. If you got the wrong location, you could move it before it was capped. But if it got capped before you moved it, you can't move it. all these things that used to happen now, people literally have a look. If you haven't looked at it, have a look at it. All it is is a literally a touch of a button. Touch, touch, touch. I think you click three buttons in total deploy. it says come up with a name. You click. Okay. And this is, would you like this deployed? Yes. And that's it. And you're
You deployed and that's easy. It's an exact spot. It's in the exact color. It's the exact type, whatever it might be as well. There's no need. No one, you're not going to have it where previously people haven't updated the spreadsheet and you go in and you try and do it. You do all the work to try and place it. And then it comes up 50 foot error because someone's already placed one there, but you can't see it. You see, so this gets rid of all that negates all of that. So
Rob (20:12.371)
Mm -hmm.
Yeah.
If you can see the button that says deploy and you click on it, then you have the credit and it will deploy in that spot. it's amazing. All the thinking is taken out
Craig (20:26.403)
Yep. Yeah. Yeah. And, I'm going to push you now on this as well, because it's not there yet, but there's a possibility whereby when this goes live on Friday, this podcast, may be able to click the redeem button. If you don't have it on some of them. There you go. yes. Yeah, I did. You like that? Yes.
Rob (20:41.161)
dirty, dirty, dirty throw me under the bus there. Yikes. Yeah, that part is waiting on me. And I don't know if it's gonna be ready by Friday, but maybe by next Friday.
Craig (20:52.492)
But if it's not ready by, I was going to say, if it's not ready by this Friday coming, don't worry people it's coming because I have had, I haven't had actually anyone ask for it, but I've had people message me saying, I've got to buy more now. I'm like, Whoa, if you just wait, you may have a redeem button coming soon. can, it can read the redeem for Zeds if it's in the redeem store, like the normal, or if it's actually in the redeem store for other items, like, you know, whatever cogs or your mysteries or whatever that redeem can come up as well.
Hold on your hats people. If it's not out there by this time you listen to this podcast, it is coming. It is coming. So there you go, Rob, do you like that? Under the bus under, and it was a UK bus too. So was a double decker. All right, mate, we're moving onto the building now. So if you all never built and by this, I didn't realize there was only less than hundred people who built gardens Rob. There you go. Yeah. So if you haven't built one before,
Rob (21:29.233)
All the secrets.
Those wheels are heavy.
Rob (21:44.423)
It's a very small community of garden builders,
Craig (21:49.994)
Now is your time to have a look, take your time with it. Don't rush it, okay? As Rob said, there's a delete button as well. don't, once you start building it, it doesn't go, no one can see it, Rob. Just let everyone know. You build one, no one can see it until you press the publish button. And that's the last button you press for it to go live. So you can play around to your heart's content. You can have a look, can, Rob, you can even share with other.
people, the other editors, for instance, as well. And so you can then have two or three or four people edit the one thing to say, that looks good. But maybe try it this way for instance, as well.
Rob (22:25.745)
You know who I would recommend that people just add you as an editor? And then they just start sending you messages like, hey, hey, Craig, I can't figure out how to do this. Could you do it for me? yes.
Craig (22:30.066)
No! jeez!
Craig (22:36.142)
Okay, Rob, those of you who are listening to this podcast, if you listen to this podcast and just heard Rob say that the first 10 people to assist, I'll assist with the ego. See? Yeah. Yeah. You threw me under the bus, but you know what? I'm like Superman. I can take the rolling tires. It's okay.
Rob (22:49.16)
wow, that's good.
Rob (22:55.855)
first ten people to add me, I'll add Craig on so that you can get his help too.
Craig (23:02.289)
There's probably 10 people that listen to this podcast Rob anyway. So that's what you basically do. Now some, a bit of tips people in regards to this as well. Take advantage of the different shapes. This for me, Rob, as a builder, this was amazing. Absolutely amazing. I put it out there as well, like I built like a camera. So you had the circle shape of the camera lens on top, on top of the square.
And what it does, again, Sam, great job, mate. What it does, people, is you build out the layer you want shown first. So I built out the circle, this is how you do it. You build out the circle first, then when you place the square layer on top without the pins, then it blanks out all the square areas that are within the 50 foot radius of the circle. Absolutely brilliant job. Absolutely brilliant. So it was quite easy to make. I'll tell you now, I've also done one with a pinwheel. You like the pinwheel, Rob?
Rob (23:46.639)
Yeah.
Rob (23:55.68)
I do,
Craig (23:56.898)
That's with a spiral one. That's with some sort of spiral. I've also done a Californian bear with a polygon features as well with polygon stuff. And I've also done, a good fire, what do call it? Fire hydrants with a circle and the square again with the fire hydrant. See, so there you go. So there, take advantage of the different shape layers. Now, Rob, this one here is the next tip is good for people and one you've always spooked about. What's
Rob (24:09.487)
yeah.
Rob (24:23.795)
Well, it's that size matters here. And it's actually that smaller gardens will fill up better. So those that are out there from years ago, everyone used to build huge gardens. And while they take a really long time, if you would like to see people deploy in your gardens, my recommendation and what we've seen over time is smaller gardens are going to fill up faster.
Craig (24:27.926)
Yeah.
Mm -hmm.
Craig (24:37.9)
Mmm.
Craig (24:49.614)
Mm hmm. And just another tip moving on from that as well. And that is if you want a PY on your garden, you must have 50 pins. 50 is your minimum for the pins to have a PY. So keep that in mind as well. Rob, at the bottom of the page, you'll also see this is what of each garden. You'll also see the how many like the deployers and how many is from the deployed. So it's like a it's like a bit of a leaderboard.
Rob (25:15.209)
I got something crazy for you here, okay? What if there's a player out there who like puts gardens out and they say things like, the top deployer, I'm gonna give you a light mystery or I'm gonna purchase you, I'm gonna send you 500 Zeds. Sam's done the work for you, the leaderboard is there, top three, I'm gonna buy you 500 Zeds, top three, like it's there. It's an amazing, amazing tool, yes.
Craig (25:17.624)
What's that? What's that?
Craig (25:26.871)
Yeah.
Craig (25:31.382)
Mm -hmm.
look at
Craig (25:38.486)
Yeah. Yeah.
Another great one that I've seen is the top person who deploys, I'll buy them the POI for the garden too. I've seen that as well. That's really cool. That's really cool. So the top deployer then gets the daily ongoing sort of POI credits. So that's really cool as well. All these ideas are streaming through. So there is a leaderboard at the bottom of each of the garden's pages. Meanwhile, Rob, the other tip now is to, once you've created it, share
Rob (25:58.909)
Gotta love
Craig (26:11.39)
share it on social media and not just the Munzee gardens on Facebook page people. I'm talking your own personal social media. What we will do Rob, if you, if you do a really good design, you know, and you're proud of that design, you're going to share it, share it on your personal page. You may get people say, what's this about? That looks really cool. What are you doing? You then give them your referral code. What a bing, what a bang, what a boom. You've now got a new referral, see, and you're growing the game, especially in your local area amongst your own friends. So yeah, it attracts more people.
So very good. I like that tip
Rob (26:41.245)
of.
Craig (26:45.294)
Really, really cool. All right, some frequently answered questions from FAQs. We've got to hurry up now. We're at 26 minutes already. All right. Yes, I know, right? We are. All right, Rob, I'm going to ask you these questions and you're going to give me these answers. These have come through mostly from like questions to me since it's been uploaded. And that is firstly, if someone uploads a garden to Cup of Z and it used to be full and it was a winner of the garden of the month,
Rob (26:52.649)
Excited!
Craig (27:11.944)
one opens up because this happens sometimes, or one will be an archive. And if one opens up and then I then put one in there, do I get the, garden of the month badge as well?
Rob (27:22.633)
Sadly, We don't have a record built into Cup of Z for that and that would be a lot of work for the team. So sadly, we do not plan on doing
Craig (27:27.181)
Mm -hmm.
Craig (27:32.538)
Okay, next question I have is again this came through for me Can you choose an exact pin to deploy from the garden or is it all random?
Rob (27:42.087)
Well, when we launched this, answer to this was no. However, Sam heard some requests. The answer is now yes. So when you click on a specific type, then you can click through the list and you can see on the overall map which one you're choosing. Yeah. So if you want one on a road, for example,
Craig (27:58.976)
And all, yeah, or you can actually click the one on the map and a little highlighter down the bottom and you can click deploy on that from there too. yeah. Yeah. You can actually click the map, Rob. So there you go. See, even you learning something like, so, all right, Rob, what happens though, if someone archives their deployed pin on a garden.
Rob (28:07.049)
Haven't done that, that's amazing.
Rob (28:19.229)
Yeah, if it happens for any reason, something gets archived, then it's going to pop back up as available. And that means that it's going to be put back into the list for other players to see that the garden itself will open back up if it was already completed.
Craig (28:34.258)
Mm Very good. love that as well because as you know, and I know I'd uploaded my gardens, which, you know, three of them, I thought were absolutely full, but, alas, no, there've been a couple of archives in there I didn't even know about. So, all right, moving on to the spreadsheets. Should people now delete their spreadsheets, what they've already, after they've uploaded them, what do they need to
Rob (28:54.835)
Personal opinion time, I hate spreadsheets. So I say delete them, I say burn them down. However, I understand that not everyone feels like that, great. It might make sense that you would lock them just so that people can't continue to update and instead put a little link in so that you can direct people to the actual garden on Puppa Z so that they can deploy if it's still
Craig (29:07.746)
Mm -hmm.
Craig (29:15.392)
Mm -hmm. Deploy it. But I mean, this we're pushing people to the couple of the app because it's brilliant. It's easy. The deploying is easy. You're going to get a lot more deploys in it, et cetera, as well. But you're not blocking the spreadsheet. So if the people still want to do the spreadsheet way, they can still do the spreadsheet way. We're not you're not removing that app, that aspect of it. So this is another really cool one, Rob, that I got through as well.
And this person did it after I spoke to them. And that is they had a void deploy for their daily Z Ops. You know, your daily Z Ops you get every single day and it says deploy a void and you get this, you know, as a prize. So they went, Rob, they went straight to the garden builder. and can you find one that needs, can you search, research now one for a void and then deploy it straight away?
Rob (30:04.157)
Yeah, well, when we launched this garden tool, the answer was no. As we record this on Wednesday, the answer is still coming soon. But however, by Friday, if Sam has done the work, which I assume will be finished, then the answer should be yes. So that if you've got a void, you can go to search by types, you can click on void, and it will bring
all the gardens that have void, then you can choose from all of those or a Celtic Falcon, Celtic Falcon, you know, any specific virtual type. Yes. So exciting.
Craig (30:41.643)
Wow, that is really, really cool. Again, Sam, man, fantastic job. yes, yes, yes, yes.
Rob (30:45.235)
Killing it. Hey, wait, as much as I love Sam and I love to say how great he is, can I now tell you my major complaint? Okay, because there's one thing that I absolutely hate about Cup of Z. All right. The app, the whole app, but also the gardens piece in particular, Cup of Z gardens. Here's why I hate you. It's because you are making me spend so much time deploying and I am missing out on valuable work time.
I literally spent two hours yesterday playing on Cuppa Zee Gardens and it wasn't like testing. It was just having fun and deploying. It's so easy and it's so fun that I'm missing out on my main tasks and work and it's showing. So thank you, Sam. I love you. Cuppa Zee Gardens is absolutely amazing. Everyone else don't get sucked down the rabbit hole and lose your job over Cuppa Zee Gardens. It's amazing though. Get in
Craig (31:18.764)
Yeah.
Craig (31:25.048)
Mm -hmm.
Craig (31:39.914)
Rob, I had someone, I had someone reach out to me yesterday and said, my goodness, I went through all my virtuals because I feel like I'm on the Amazon store page where I just want to click them by and by and by and by. So yeah, that's, they get that by feeling and they went through all the virtuals. Meanwhile, these are a few player comments that have come through as well over the past couple of days, cause it's only been released a couple of days as well. One was the new garden feature makes deploying in a garden so much easier. hated.
try and deploying gardens before. So many steps, it took forever. Thank you so much for simplifying the process. Another person says, wonderful. I only Munzee on my phone and never mastered deploying in gardens before. This is fantastic and thank you. Another person says, so easy. I am going to end up deploying all of my un -deployed Munzees and I have to buy more. Rob, I was in a chat with this person and another person as well. First person said, I have a hoard of Munzees.
And they were bragging, Rob, they go, have 175 Munsies that are in my undeployed list. That my other friend, he said, they only gather points on the map, not in your inventory. That's a great response. So there you go. All right, Rob, no questions of the week this week, because we've questioned out from all this and we've run out of time. We'll only say this in regards to the tips of the week. And that is to play the new Cuppa Z.
Rob (32:46.995)
Hey!
Craig (33:02.882)
garden builder, deployer, whatever the name is, play with it, play with it as a deployer, play with it as a builder. You won't be able to break it if you do send them a message. So that's the way to do.
Rob (33:12.681)
Make cool designs, make small gardens, do not start off big, make small gardens. Jeffeth is a perfect example. He built designs that are amazing, amazing. And he won Garden of the Month multiple times with his gardens. He built small gardens, less than 100 pens, but the design is there. When he uploaded to Cup of Z Gardens, he had one pin out of thousands.
Craig (33:16.16)
yes yes no
Craig (33:23.347)
Mm -hmm. Wow.
Craig (33:40.246)
Wow. Wow. Wow.
Rob (33:41.482)
one that was undeployed. So think everyone, think a little bit, make them good, make them smaller and get
Craig (33:50.006)
Yes. And those people out there who are badge hoarders as well, they love the badges, deploy in every good looking garden that you think is good looking that you can, because a possibility is later on down the track, it will win a garden of the month as a possibility.
Rob (34:01.853)
We're bringing it. We're bringing it. Garden, Cuppa Zee Gardens is going to be the place where we start looking to start choosing player, Garden of the Month. Absolutely coming very, very soon.
Craig (34:08.696)
There you go. You heard it here first. You heard it here first, but also Rob, guess what? That ends another official Munzee podcast.
Rob (34:17.128)
man, so much fun. Thanks for joining us on this Munzee adventure.
Craig (34:22.274)
Don't forget to subscribe, rate and review on your favourite podcasting app and join us next week for back to regular programming information.
Rob (34:29.625)
Yeah, unfortunately. And remember, Munzee is more than a game. It's a worldwide community of mobile game players.
Craig (34:36.44)
So keep scanning, keep discovering and keep that Munzee spirit alive. One, two, three, Munzee on. Tim's got a video too. Tim's got a video. I forgot. Minnesota boy, Minnesota boy, Minnesota
Rob (34:40.861)
GARDEN ON! Minnesota boy!
See ya!
