Craig (00:02.732)
Welcome to the Official Munzee Podcast.

Rob (00:05.119)
I'm Rob, also known as Coach V, your host and the president of Munzee.

Craig (00:08.788)
And I'm Craig, also known as Seemyshell, I started as an avid Munzee player, now proudly part of the team.

Rob (00:14.061)
Each week we'll delve into Munzee's mysteries, divulge some secrets, and inform players from around the world just what is coming your way.

Craig (00:20.472)
So sit back, relax. Today's episode, we chat all things that are ending in July, including Rob's loss and what's happening, what's coming up in August. Rob, I had to get the dig in there really early, really quick because I mean, look, yeah, I mean, look, let's be honest. We record this before the end of the month, but having a look at the statistics and the numbers for the Battle of the Bards we're talking about, straight off the bat.

Rob (00:36.505)
the immediate dig.

Craig (00:49.15)
Well done. Congratulations. I'm going to put it here. I'm going to put it out there. The accidents, the accidents did a great job. They statistically, they did really well placements, good placements of cards and good capping of cards. I will say a few of them, I think may have even played as more of a team Rob by not capping other people's cards and only their own. So yeah, yeah. I think they kept, they kept the singers cards like the

Rob (01:10.029)
Hmm. How naughty of them. Or smart. Yeah. It was

Craig (01:17.422)
But they didn't cap the crimson or the storm bounce.

Rob (01:18.169)
Yeah, yeah.

Yeah, exactly. think that, yeah, the accidents did that, but it was in fact on purpose, not an accident. Exactly.

Craig (01:28.398)
Yes, not by accident. Exactly, oh Rob, I'm gonna have to put in some sort of symbol there, but anyway. But no, really well done, really well done to the accidents and overall, Rob, actually you know what, let's just talk about it quickly now before we get into the rest of the episode. Overall, think 99.9 % of people really enjoyed it, the ones who actually played it. There are some people out there who don't play, but then again, play your own way. That's all there is to it. Everyone can play their own way.

Rob (01:36.133)
Yeah

Rob (01:54.968)
Yes.

Craig (01:57.452)
But do be known, Rob, that this was a bit of a team goal. There was teams, you know, and four different teams. How can we improve it for next time, maybe? People said, can we pick our own players or clans, know, clan groups together and stuff as well? I'm like, yeah, that could be a little bit too heavy in one direction or another. So I do, I personally, I like the way that Munzee did it. I like the spreading of it all too, so.

I think it was quite good, yeah.

Rob (02:26.617)
Yeah. So even though there are some clans that stick together, you know, for months and years and, they've, they've never separated, there are other players who bounce from one client to the next, maybe not every single month, but so, you know, for us to try and say, okay, we're going to take these clans and they're the ones that are going to make up, you know, the teams,

Craig (02:34.218)
Mm-hmm. No.

Craig (02:51.117)
Hmm.

Rob (02:51.779)
So that you have, okay, the top four clans are going to be team one, two, three, four, and then five through nine, you know? So is this something that we've thought about? Yeah, obviously. If I can come up with something immediately, then it is not the first time that this topic has come up internally. it's very difficult, you know, to try and break up a worldwide community into fair teams. When we did it a long time ago.

Craig (02:56.226)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.

Craig (03:06.563)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (03:10.188)
Mm.

Rob (03:17.559)
It was not fair. It was two teams and one was heavily stacked and it wasn't on purpose. It's just how the splitter went. Yeah. So we tried to, tried to do this one slightly different. I, I enjoy the way that it turned out. you know, I mean, I don't like that we were in third place as far as crimson chalice goes, but, I think that we communicated a lot and you know, we did what we could, but, but the accidents, man, once they took off, they just, I don't,

Craig (03:23.488)
Yep, just the way it happened. Yep, nanotrans.

Craig (03:41.122)
Mm-hmm.

Rob (03:46.885)
We weren't able to catch up across any of the weeks like the third and fourth week. And so the, know, that says that they, they didn't just do a lot at the beginning, but they continued. So I don't know what sort of an actual strategy there was there. Maybe I'll go back through our discord channel and see if there's any nuggets of wisdom to be gained from that. Uh, but yeah, congratulations to all of them.

Craig (03:49.684)
No. Yeah.

Craig (03:58.989)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (04:05.14)
Hehehehehe

Rob (04:13.053)
And, old man trouble there, designated leader through discord. So, w how much he did, I actually couldn't tell you, but I bet that the team would probably say that, that it went well.

Craig (04:18.157)
Mm-hmm.

Yep. Yep.

Craig (04:25.902)
And speaking of Discord as well, Rob, there are a lot of players out there who don't have Discord, don't want Discord, got nothing to with Discord, they can't understand Discord. Let me just say this now, you're not missing out per se. The only reason why Rob and the team use Discord is because of the tools in which Discord provide. Facebook does not provide the same tools that Discord does. In other words, and what happened is, you try and think of this way, and that is, Rob, you marked individual files, so you had four files.

Rob (04:30.755)
Mm-hmm. Yep.

Craig (04:55.81)
and you were able to just literally, or with the click of a button, file in those players in those particular files with those particular names. And those files, no one else could see those files apart from the people in the files themselves. So very much like the old threads, the old text messages, what's it called? The forums, it's like the old forum sort of style. Yeah, forums, the old forum sort of style, but one whereby you can't get led in unless you're part of that.

Rob (05:09.263)
Yep.

Rob (05:15.919)
No forums,

Craig (05:23.79)
So that's the reason for the use of Discord. You're not sort of pushing any other players aside in any way. It's just the ease of use. But in saying that, Rob, get back on the positive note now. As we speak and record this on Wednesday afternoon, 1.39 million points for the accidents, 1.34 million points for Stormbound, 1.32 for Crimson Chalice, and 1.17 for Star Sirens. Now,

Rob (05:24.271)
Correct.

Rob (05:38.255)
Yeah.

Craig (05:52.938)
I will say that shows Rob how close that was. It shows, you know, just how good the teams were spread out, you know, and, all four teams do get prizes, you know, first, second, third, and fourth get prizes. But of course, first prize gets more than what the fourth price does. So fourth place does. So that's what happens. And one more thing, Robin, that is, yeah, storm beat you. So anyway, I beat you once again, Rob.

Rob (06:12.804)
Yeah they do.

Rob (06:18.757)
Exactly. Yes, humbly I accept the third place trophy and the spoils that come with it. Well done to all four of the teams. I enjoyed watching it all happen. I tried to post a little bit, but I wasn't able to focus on it as much, but yeah, still had fun and I did end up getting all my cards out there. I put

Craig (06:21.962)
Once again, I beat you.

Yeah.

Mm-hmm.

Craig (06:42.691)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (06:47.298)
Mm-hmm.

Rob (06:48.783)
quite a few in was the on for you and titled them SMS cap me and you know some of that kind of stuff so yeah it was fun.

Craig (06:51.566)
Thank you sir. I know exactly what, cause I make sure I hand cap every single one Rob, yeah right. But also one more thing in that is that with all four of those, well congratulations to everyone who participated, everyone who played, we all enjoyed it. And Rob I will say that every single team at one point or another were in first place during the month. So, you know, we know Crimson, you went out hard and fast.

Rob (07:00.005)
Of course you do, yeah.

Craig (07:20.11)
And then, and then you saw we dwindled away between Stormbound and the accidents, you know, the three of us in total at the three, the accidents, Stormbound and Crimson, that's third, third week of the month, second and third week of the month between that time when, when it literally was bouncing back and forward, bouncing back and forward. That was fun to watch too. So look out for more of these, more of these sort of fun games in which we play games within a game. So meanwhile, Rob, apart from, uh, sort of stuff and the battle of the buzz, what else has been up to, mate?

Rob (07:35.545)
Yeah, it was.

Rob (07:49.801)
man, currently traveling across France with Lou and her teammate, Rianne. So, you know, two of the internationals and so we're following the tour de France femme of ex swift, which is the women's tour, the France there are nine stages this year. I'm kind of their driver. I take them, I dropped them off on the road. They ride the last.

Craig (07:53.774)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (07:57.645)
Mm-hmm.

Rob (08:14.949)
Uh, 50 to 75 miles of each stage, just kind of to get a feel for it. Um, we choose a location sometimes along the route and, uh, you know, we stopped there. Um, yeah, we've been hanging out, having a good time. Uh, I was in a bear costume on stage, uh, three, I think it was, um, on the side of the road was picked up by the coverage. So that was kind of cool to see. Um, I've got a hamburger costume.

Craig (08:19.053)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (08:40.616)
Mm-hmm So did you tell me you're a Tell me you're up. Did you did you did you bear it all in national television?

Rob (08:44.675)
Yeah,

no, no, no, just barely. I know. Yeah. got a burger costume that's coming up, for Alison Jackson, who's a Canadian writer. She's the Canadian champion. She rides for the EF team and, Lou, has a fun, back and forth, relationship joking and all that kind of stuff with her. So.

Craig (08:51.406)
I can't bear this conversation. Let's move on.

Of course. That's right.

Mm-hmm.

Craig (09:13.932)
Mm.

Rob (09:15.261)
we'll be doing a special burger delivery for her. by the time everyone listens, it won't be then because it's going to be on either stage eight or nine. She has requested a burger yet again on one of those climbs. Yeah. So.

Craig (09:18.798)
I was, yeah.

Craig (09:26.297)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah, again, I was, I was going to say that was the last year or the year before, whatever it was that Lou actually provided a real life hamburger that she, she grabbed out of Lou's hand and then started consuming it while she was mid-race as well, started consuming a hamburger mid-race. So I'm taking it Lou's, yeah, I'm taking, I'm taking it Lou's, Lou's going to give her another real hamburger as well. She's not going to offer you up as the hamburger Rob, is what I'm saying. No, no.

Rob (09:41.124)
Yes.

The final stage, yeah, last year.

Rob (09:52.453)
The plan, the plan is that it will be a real hamburger yet again. Lou gave it to Alison with about two kilometers left to go in the race, all uphill. And so she took it and, you know, two hands off. She's opening the burger. She started eating it. She then held onto it in one hand, finished the race. I mean, she's way back in the race, obviously, but so yeah, she's finishing.

Craig (09:57.716)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

Craig (10:04.174)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (10:10.478)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (10:16.149)
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Mm-hmm.

Rob (10:19.286)
when she finished the race, she was interviewed on TV, eating the hamburger. so she carried it all the way there and ate it at the finish. So yeah, we're, hoping for a repeat performance of some sort like that this year.

Craig (10:26.126)
Nice, nice, nice.

That sounds really good, lots of fun, lots of fun. Good to see as well. Meanwhile, Rob, let's talk about the events that were obviously in the USA. We had Ohio, we had Wisconsin and California. And I do believe Wisconsin wasn't happening and that was canceled. But meanwhile, in saying that, the one in Ohio we had on Friday and on Sunday, the Friday event, it went mega, Rob. We had 50 attendees because again,

Rob (10:57.509)
Yeah, that's

Craig (11:01.198)
You know, I think there may have been 36 Willa Tens on this, you know what mean? But by the time, you know, people bring in and then other geocaching players who Munzee sometimes listen and go, oh, hang on, is there a Munzee event here? Oh, I used to play. Oh, look at that. Look at the, here's my app. And now scan the bar and there you go. So that's what happened with that too. So that was really cool. Mega event on the Friday in Ohio. Around the world, we had Quebec, Canada, Finland, Switzerland, Hungary.

Germany, Japan as well. And the Munzey Maniacs podcast did a live podcast from Japan. That was really cool.

Rob (11:36.505)
Hmm. I haven't, haven't listened to it yet. I will be in the car, I think tomorrow. So yeah, very good.

Craig (11:40.91)
Yeah. Yes. P.J. P.J. talks about us, you know, muting him when he talks. We don't mute you, P.J. We just ignore. There is a difference. There is a difference. We don't mute you, P.J. No, no, not at all. The leaderboard drop over the weekend Friday, we had 15 millionaires in total in first place. Eagle Dad and Xenia with three point two five million points. Second, we had plenty SMV.

Rob (11:50.211)
yeah. Yeah, definitely.

Craig (12:08.462)
Plenty SMV, 3.24 million points. Oh, that was really close first and second. And Arts5 was there with 2.4 million points. Arts5, an old number one player in the world. Arts5, yes, yes, yes. Yeah, exactly. So he was there as well. Really, really cool to see. The other millionaires, Munzee Prof with 2.3 million points. And W Helen and JB85 with 2.1 million points.

Rob (12:08.549)
Hmm.

Rob (12:21.305)
Yeah. Yeah. About seven or eight years ago. Yeah. Yeah. Wow.

Craig (12:37.614)
Then we have a gallon, Owe Burrows with 1.5 million points. Posile won, Raven on the road, HB31, 1.3 million points. Mrs. HB31, 1.2 million points. I wonder, you know, who did the dishes after that night? And then we had Jack Pudgy on 1.1 million points. One Shee Marine and DT Charlie rounded out with 1 million points themselves. So 15 millionaires on the Friday. Rob, Saturday, man, Saturday.

Rob (13:06.149)
Saturday we had 11 millionaires kicking it off with Flipper family 3.1 million, Coldcracker 7, 3 million, NZ Kiwi 2.8 million, here's the rest, Jackpot Gene 2.1 million, W Helen 1.6 million, Raven on the Road, and Eco Rangers 1.5 million, Gallon 1.4 million, Munzee Prof just us two. Took me a second.

JustUs2, 1.3 million, and Earthangel, 1.1 million.

Craig (13:38.27)
And then on Sunday, we only had the two millionaires, Rob. We had Chamor with 2.1 million points, Stinger with 1 million points, and Arts5 in third place with 839,000 points. And I will say, was sitting there with Chamor and Stinger as well at the last event there in Ohio. And she was asking for extra cars to be deployed. And I said to her, do you want Chamor? Anyway, so.

There we go. There we go. And Stinger being Nancy from geocachingcentral.com. That's Stinger. That's Nancy from geocachingcentral.com. Meanwhile, Rob, this weekend, because, you know, off weekend, we only have one event in Texas. That's it. And around the world we have...

Rob (14:06.169)
fun.

Rob (14:10.276)
Alright.

Rob (14:21.158)
Netherlands, England too in Lithuania and Germany.

Craig (14:25.39)
Exactly right. Big events coming up. Rob, I found another one as well. So August 10th, West Bend Munzee Bash. Again, if you're going to the West Bend Cash Bash, that's right around the corner, same sort of dates and times. Come and see us there as well. I'll be there for that one. This is the new one that I found, Rob. August 16th and 17th. Magic Munzee in Norway. So there's three events over the two days. You see Munzee Magic in Norway. Well under those, September 12th to 14th.

Rob (14:46.679)
I it. Cool.

Craig (14:53.582)
is the Munzey Mania in Minnesota. Now Rob, there's 43 Will-A-Tens on that one as well. So that's sort of slowly getting up there, which is really cool to see. And Rob, will you be there for that one?

Rob (15:04.505)
That is the plan. I don't know it actually if I've clicked will attend. So let's see if we can get it over 50 by the time that I click. but yeah, I am, I am planning to be there. unfortunately Lou is not going to make it. Yeah. So yet another year of no Lou in Minnesota.

Craig (15:06.504)
Absolutely.

Mm-hmm.

Craig (15:22.68)
Well, why don't you stay home and Lou comes to that one instead then? There'd be some players who'd prefer that, just saying. that's what it is. Yeah, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I don't want to see you in the spandex. But anyway, Rob, we have January 16th to 18th Munzey Mecca in Florida, March 6th and 7th Munzey Madness.

Rob (15:27.173)
Hmm.

Yeah, but she's got a bike plan and I don't want to go ride her bike instead. Yeah. Sorry, everyone. Sorry. You're going to have to settle for me.

No.

Craig (15:48.174)
back again in Southern California. All right, Rob, look at that. way, way through time now. We've spoken about the Battle of the Bards. That's all done and received and done. Now let's talk about the August clan requirements. They've come out, Rob. And they come out. They come out. This time they come out. I'm like, all I heard was crickets on the water cooler. And also was, you know, I think one comment was something about like, you know, I like this. That's it. That was it.

Rob (16:01.498)
Yeah.

Rob (16:05.784)
Right, yeah.

Rob (16:13.399)
Yeah. Yeah.

Craig (16:14.942)
I like this. That's what it was. I find Rob with the, this August clan requirements, you've kind of gone a little bit back to basics, which is nice to see. We have, we need some fresh air. need to breathe as we get over the month of the birthday month too. So, but yeah, that's what I thought it was. What's your opinion on you doing the clan requirements?

Rob (16:35.885)
It's that I needed to breathe as well. So when I needed to breathe, everyone else gets to take a deep breath with me. So let's all take a deep breath together. Everyone. That's where we're at. Aren't we? So enjoy August and then hold onto your hats for September. I'm just kidding. As if I've started thinking about September yet.

Craig (16:45.294)
I like it. I like it.

Craig (16:52.3)
No, no, no, I know, because already Rob, firstly, I'll say as well, clan packs are available in the store as well to help you with the clan requirements if you need help with those as well. That's really cool.

Rob (17:05.07)
This is probably the biggest of the Clampacks that I've done. I added an extra kicker in there, enjoy.

Craig (17:08.822)
Yes, it's a big clan pack. Yeah, I saw that. saw that. And remember this time we have levels one and two, non-premium, so you don't have to actually deploy that little bitty kitty. But the little bitty kitty goes out to levels three, four, five and six. And remember that is a free in the premium tab on the 3rd of August. So that's how that works as well. So it gets deployed on the 3rd of August. Remember.

That is a manual button push. Rob, hopefully I'll get a text message to you as soon as it clicks over so you can then push that manual button.

Rob (17:46.371)
I'm a full hour further into the future, so maybe I'll get it done by like 3 p.m. Texas time.

Craig (17:49.998)
Maybe. Maybe, maybe. But I did see some of the social medias posting in regards to how easy things were. you're like, does this mean that you wanted to up them for the month of October or something? I'm not sure, I'm not sure.

Rob (18:03.877)
I mean, you know, if there were too many posts about how easy it was, everyone should hold their thoughts until the third, because remember that I have the the right and it's written very clearly to change the update or change the claim requirements and rewards in the which way. So some people think, he'd only make them easier. Really, people you've met me before, haven't you?

Craig (18:21.774)
Mm hmm. Mm hmm. Mm hmm. Yeah. No, no, no. I will say Rob that that is like, people don't understand people say, know, what, what's he done? You play these games with people and other people around you like myself, for instance, now as well. We don't like it either, including me, because I feel like I'm like, Rob, come on, what are you doing? Do you?

Rob (18:46.243)
Yeah.

Craig (18:50.414)
You're causing this wave and there's no reason for it. But anyway, that's all fun and games. It's all fun and games.

Rob (18:53.087)
I know, I know. I don't, I don't always try to do it. Unfortunately, sometimes there is a ripple that comes off that I'm unaware of. then I go, yeah, sorry about that. Yep.

Craig (18:57.471)
Nah.

Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

Craig (19:05.343)
And just to let everyone in on a little secret, little hidden tip as well in regards to itty bitty kitty. And that is if you do not post anything at all on the water cooler, if there's no talk about it, where is it? Where is it? Where is it? Rob will post it. If you talk about where is it? Where is it? Where is it? And people say, Rob's got to wake up. it's a manual thing to do. Rob, see that and you go, I'm going to hold off a little bit longer. Don't you?

Rob (19:28.025)
I'm like, look, there's my reminder to wait longer.

Craig (19:31.214)
So stop, stop, hold, hold your horses, wait, wait, wait, and it'll be deployed for you. So we'll go from there. Meanwhile, Rob, we're going to talk about the double points week end for the month of August as well, because players are doing their events and planning events, et cetera. And by the time this goes live, it will be out there as well. And that is we've got an event first and then like a, well, it's not an event. It's a what would you class it? Not an event.

Rob (19:43.466)
yeah.

Craig (20:00.906)
It's a, like a deploy event. Yeah, yeah, deploy event. Before the Double Points weekend, Rob explained to us what is the deploy event first.

Rob (20:01.099)
yeah, I don't even know what to call it. It is. Yeah.

Rob (20:12.965)
Well, the deploy event is when you deploy EVOs or the EVO bouncers, they are going to double, which is kind of a fun thing. Yeah. So if you, for example, put a butterfly out like last month and it, it, it evolved to the point of that EVO bouncer going out.

Craig (20:19.021)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (20:22.53)
Yes.

Craig (20:27.915)
Yes.

Craig (20:36.206)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (20:42.072)
Mm-hmm.

Rob (20:42.561)
Then that's going to happen. It's going to give two butterflies. So, but wait, I don't have all of those. didn't put them out a month ago because I didn't know this was happening. Yes, that's how our events work like this. We don't want everyone to know super far in advance because, you know, then, then obviously you start flooding the map of that stuff way back when. And instead there's

Craig (20:46.894)
Right.

Craig (20:53.614)
Mm-hmm.

Rob (21:06.361)
the fun element of surprise. These sorts of things pop up the double max and all that kind of stuff. So anyway, it's happening. What happens if you, you you don't have any of those ready, but you really need or want some extra points. Cool. You can use an EVO reset and or you can use quick grow. So if you, you know, have all of your EVO bouncers are to the point of, you know, being reset, cool, reset them. And then you can use a quick grow as well.

Craig (21:26.318)
Mm-hmm.

Rob (21:36.045)
I think some of those credits have been given as clan rewards not too long ago. So that's really weird. I don't know. I don't know.

Craig (21:36.238)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (21:42.457)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. How did that happen? How did that happen, Rob? So in other words, you can participate in that free of charge. It doesn't cost you a cent. There's no money grab, none of that sort of stuff here. So don't even call out about it. But it is on Monday, the August 11th through to Thursday, August 14th. So August 11th to 14th. If you can release one of your Evo bounces by doing those things, whether it be Evo recess and quick grows, or you just so happen to be lucky enough to have one actually like

flop out or fly out between those dates, you will get two instead of the one. So it's a double EVO deploy. Then Rob, the following weekend, that very next weekend is a double point weekend. So Friday the 15th through to Sunday, August 17th, it is double points on greenies, cards, temps, flats, jewels, and EVOs Rob. EVO bounces as well. So there you go. Yeah.

Rob (22:33.349)
Evo bouncers. Yes. So those bouncers. So if you put the bouncers out Monday through Thursday, then the points that come from them from cap ons, they will be doubled starting on Friday. How interesting. Right? So, well, a little benefit. Um, yeah, we're nice. What can I say? So in the notes, what you've.

Craig (22:42.477)
Mm-hmm.

Mm-hmm. I doubled Friday Friday to Sunday. That's wow

Rob (22:59.189)
seem to have skipped and I missed this until just now starting to listen and like, a second. There are actually two bonus events and two double point weekends. So the first one isn't mentioned here. So I'm just going to read it off really quickly. Everyone else will look at the blog. Is it not? Is it?

Craig (23:01.036)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

Mm-hmm.

Craig (23:13.046)
No, no, no, because that's not happening. That's not happening. It's just one event we're doing. No, we're just doing the number two. That's it. We're not doing the number one. This is just the number two. You said number two. That's all you said. You didn't say number one. Yes. Yeah. It's not one. It's only one double point weekend event. It's only one. It's only one.

Rob (23:24.965)
Oh, I don't know about that. Anyway, hey, guess what, everyone? When when you see the blog, we'll we'll know was it Craig or was it Rob that was like, I know. Well, neither neither of us do as of right now when we're recording, not written. So either either yes, there are two or no, there is only one. No, no, no, everybody enjoy.

Craig (23:36.782)
I don't have the blog open.

okay, okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Craig (23:48.718)
It's the one, just the one. Cause and, just, just for everyone's information, because now it sounds like we're actually part of a team meeting, Rob. And that is, and that is, this, the idea of these two different types went out. I had my opinion on the matter and I said, I liked the, I liked one only for the actual, the month, you know, cause we had every single weekend last month. So one only for next month. and I liked the first version, Rob, you wrote, and then you got tagged and you wrote saying,

you like number two. So they've gone with the number two, you see, but we still ticked actually one, one double point weekend event.

Rob (24:22.373)
I think...

Rob (24:26.361)
I think that, yeah, I think that we're gonna have a, we'll have a meeting. We all actually are having a meeting after this podcast. So let's see what survives. Everyone read the blog, listen again next week.

Craig (24:32.398)
We are, we are, we are. Stay tuned. Exactly. Meanwhile, Rob, we're gonna talk about a little bit of hints and tips because over the last weekend, we had some Munzee gardens were being placed in and around different areas. Now, of the gardens that was placed in Wassey and Ohio was done because it was double points for zodiacs. And that's great and it's good to see. And thank you so much for everyone who's deploying.

and even for placing the garden, et cetera. However, that garden rob, first and foremost, non-blastables, so no one can actually just sit there and blast it all itself. You have to be hand-capped and hand-capped only. At the same time, it was in an area whereby some of them were out of the 300-foot reach from the road because there was a corn filler on one side, there was a soybean field on the other side, so it was hard to actually reach them without the radius booster as well.

and then third and third and foremost is when you cap your zodiac, you get three bounces that scatter. Those scatters are going over top of other ones that you haven't kept yet. So you're missing capping other ones as well. So for those sort of areas, let alone, Rob, let alone the fact that, know, I've got AT &T cell service. It was not good. I'm telling you now that AT &T was not good. So yeah, I struggled capping a lot of these sort of stuff like that too. So that would be the reason for the low caps in that particular area.

Rob (25:49.455)
Damn.

Craig (25:58.528)
All I'm saying is for hints and tips for garden placements, make sure there's, I personally, make sure there's room to hand cap them for those who want to hand cap. Or even better, have them as blastable types as well. Like gardens with blastable types, get more caps, Rob. Because people are like, let's be honest, I am too. I'm lazy. I don't wanna sit there and hand cap for, I'd rather get one boom, bounce and done. And I'm out of there. So that's the thing too. So yeah, that's the main thing for it too.

Rob (26:23.297)
Yep.

Craig (26:25.422)
All right, Rob. So that's the garden placement tips. Do you like those ones? Yeah Yeah Yeah, but no, it's not no, not it wasn't there is another exactly. Meanwhile, Rob We've got to announce as well will not announce because it was announced last week and that is the flat loose scatters are still running So if you haven't got your flat loose scatty get your flat loose scatter because other badges out there as well while flat Lou is is literally scattering around the France

Rob (26:28.591)
Hmm. I do. That was probably the tip of the week, just in advance. no, it wasn't because there is another, nevermind. bad.

Rob (26:50.223)
Yeah.

Craig (26:50.366)
And that goes until midnight on August the third, midnight MHQ time, August the third. Likewise, Rob, the traveling troops are also running still at the moment until midnight, August third. And don't forget now we've been announced Robbie, Robbie's the little mystery guy. It wasn't Sam, Rob, wasn't Sam. People asked who it was, it wasn't Sam. It was Robbie. Robbie, he's the flat disc golf and he is the new member of the traveling troop. Don't worry.

Rob (27:08.709)
I know.

Craig (27:18.488)
Don't worry, there's other things that we can place in later on for the traveling trip when they return again, Rob, on the tour. Yeah, exactly, exactly. That's right, that's right. Actually, I wonder if Sam's gonna message us out after this episode. I think he might. Anyway, Rob, we're gonna move on now to the question of the week. This question was actually from a few people on Facebook itself. And the question is, why am I, in brackets, and others?

Rob (27:24.389)
Sure, it's true. We'll see you, Sam. Don't worry, everyone.

Rob (27:33.391)
I'm certain that he will.

Craig (27:46.242)
getting a notification on their phone with Munzee route tracking activated. Sometimes when the app is not active and the phone is not having a data or wifi connection and more in general, what is this message meaning?

Rob (27:58.565)
Ah, I had to actually check with the team because I was not aware of this. However, they said, um, we mentioned this on Monday and I was like, Oh yeah, I'm sorry. I wasn't paying attention during that moment. Uh, my bad. So, um, the quick answer is that it's a bug that we are tracking, uh, currently. So, um, that's what popped up the tracking activated. Um, we have some stuff going on in the background. There's always stuff going on in the background.

Craig (28:03.374)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (28:08.046)
Mm-hmm.

Craig (28:26.126)
Mm-hmm.

Rob (28:27.273)
but, while we apologize for the scare, there's nothing devious going on, so you don't have to worry about it. we hopefully by the time you're listening to the podcast, no one else will be receiving that message. That's the plan. Squashing it.

Craig (28:32.52)
Nah. Nah.

Craig (28:42.216)
will be squashed. But at the same time as well, I think about this and that is we are a GPS game. In other words, our phones have to know where we are in order for us to play. It's the same as geocaching for instance. Well, geocaching, we need to know where we are, we need to find the cache and et cetera, et cetera as well. So that means that certain things have to be into play from your mobile phone devices, but there is nothing devious in regards to it. So.

Rob (29:08.826)
Nope.

Craig (29:08.97)
It's not actually, it's not tracking, tracking you as in, know, at least it's not, it's an either way, Robert, if you've got an iPhone and you've got Facebook, there's a lot of things happening there more than what Munzee is. mean, far more.

Rob (29:12.005)
Yeah.

Rob (29:18.499)
Yeah, far more, far more than anything that we could ever do. Google and Facebook for sure.

Craig (29:25.336)
can guarantee, I can guarantee Rob, if I talk to you for five minutes about cat food and open Facebook, and open Facebook, I get cat food commercials on my Facebook. Anyway, so that's it, that's it there. So that's what's happening there, perfect. Good to see you, Rob. We're gonna end it now with the tip of the week. I told you I had a tip still, Rob. I know you did, and we're talking about the mushroom skins. And again, someone reached out to me asking about the mushroom skins. Now, Rob, was only like six or seven months ago when you spoke to me.

Rob (29:29.264)
don't do it.

Rob (29:33.583)
Yeah.

Rob (29:40.665)
I forgot.

Craig (29:52.718)
And you you told me something that I had nothing no idea about and that is if your mushroom is naked I'm just gonna say naked no skin on if it's not it's a plain old mushroom with no skin on it whatsoever then it doesn't bounce on certain items such as Skylands or tree houses which then give you good cap ones so if you can if you've got a naked mushroom out there then get a skin on it like that's all gonna say spice it up Exactly. We all love the skins

Rob (29:59.915)
Yeah

Rob (30:16.453)
Spice it up, man! We need some spice, yeah!

Craig (30:21.486)
So remember if you can't add your skin or you don't know how to, Rob search. You've got my YouTube channel. I've got a tutorial out there saying how to actually place a skin on a bouncer. All you have to do is very quick and easy. Grab the actual bouncer in which you're looking to place the skin on. Click the three button top menu on the top right hand corner. Click convert. Convert is what you need. And then all the skins will come up that you can actually place upon that particular munchroom. So no more naked munchrooms out in the back.

Rob (30:51.013)
That's right. Let's get them closed. Well, let's toss them into a recipe since that's what they actually all are. They're all recipes. Let's get them.

Craig (30:51.192)
So exactly.

Yeah, this is true. This is true. This is true. I like it. All right, Rob, that ends another official Munzee podcast.

Rob (31:02.405)
Thanks for joining us on this Munzee adventure.

Rob (31:10.141)
And remember, Munzee is more than a game, it's a worldwide community of mobile game players.

Craig (31:15.074)
So keep scanning, keep discovering, keep that Manzi spirit lower up. One, two, three, congratulations to the accidents. I know, third place doesn't.

Rob (31:19.989)
I didn't even have anything to say. Accidents. Well done.
