Craig (00:01.08)
Welcome to the Official Munzee Podcast.
Rob (00:03.348)
I'm Rob, also known as Coach V, just your host and the president of Munzee.
Craig (00:07.152)
And I'm Craig, also known as Seemyshell, I started as an avid Munzee player, now proudly part of the team as the host of the Munzee podcast.
Rob (00:16.524)
Yeah you are, each week we'll delve into Munzee's mysteries, divulge some secrets, and inform players from around the world just what is coming your way.
Craig (00:24.336)
So sit back, relax. Today's episode we chat ho ho ho ho ho ho ho. Merry Christmas, Rob. All the December, it's the gray, it's the gray in my beard. Wow. Yes, I noticed that, I noticed that. But mate, we're talking about December. Everything's happening in December. There's lots happening in December as well. Some new stuff. Some things that some other players have brought to our attention from months and months and months ago that have coming to fruition. So we'll have to.
Rob (00:29.706)
yeah. You're looking more like Santa every day. Shaved mine. So I don't today. Yeah.
Rob (00:52.768)
What? That's amazing!
Craig (00:53.718)
I know right and and and he knows he knows who I'm talking about Mr. Wilhelm anyway yeah I'll mention him I'll mention him absolutely but otherwise Rob before we get a start what have what have you been up to mate I did notice last month you you ended last month with a big bang after me publicly throwing onto the bus
Rob (01:00.344)
okay. Yeah, very good.
Rob (01:13.43)
Hey, sometimes, you know, it takes the weight of a bus to really get me moving. I got to say, and that's all right. That's how I live my life. I suppose I am a procrastinator by nature, by trade and by name. Why do today what I can put off until tomorrow? So I finally did it. I finally made it to the level six requirements. I did it all in one day. We were actually sitting on level three.
Craig (01:18.352)
Hahaha!
Craig (01:23.834)
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
Craig (01:35.235)
you
Yeah. Yeah?
Rob (01:42.828)
like we were being held on level three because of me and my crates and that was it. So yeah, we made it all the way to level six because I went out on one walk. I've got such a greenie rich area that was built years ago, actually by Lou. And then I've gone through and, and, you know, filled in the gaps. And so, yeah, I went for a walk and kept 55 greenies.
Craig (01:43.04)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. By you.
Craig (01:53.53)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (02:00.324)
Craig (02:10.724)
Nice.
Rob (02:10.926)
And, yeah, lots of scatters that were going off, from different things while I was using the vac, was getting some bouncers. They were throwing some physical stuff, from all of it. So anyway, yeah, it was great. Got, got that. So you're welcome. And, yeah, now, now here we are in December, starting it again.
Craig (02:18.64)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (02:22.954)
Mm-hmm. NOS.
Craig (02:32.08)
And I will say, you know me, Rob, with my tips. I love the tips. Think about it this way. If you're in a greenie rich area and you it may even be your own greenies because you can cap your own greenies if you're premium members every single day. If you're going out, especially this month, because for mailbox holders, think greenies are double points as well.
Rob (02:38.68)
Yes.
Craig (02:56.016)
Yeah, greenies are double points for the month as well. if you're a mailbox holder and you're do a big greenie run of your own greenies as well, why not utilize a cap on booster as well as a physical capture booster as well? Yeah, use.
Rob (03:07.636)
there you go. Yeah. Yeah. I wasn't even following you. was like, no, no. Yeah, you're right. Cap on booster and the physical capture booster. Wow.
Craig (03:13.166)
Yeah, use both boosters and physical capture. See the physical capture booster, a lot of people have them and don't use them that much because they forget about them. But the physical capture booster is double points on already the double points as well. And it runs for two hours. So two hours for one booster. It's well worth it. And absolutely, that's what I would personally be doing if you're doing a greeny walk. So.
Very, very cool indeed. See Rob, see, yeah. How's that for, and then you get double boosters as well with the Capons and Captures. See, wow. I know, I know. Yeah. Well, speaking of tips for me, oh yeah. I Munzied the heck out of Vegas, Rob. I did spend some money in Vegas, Rob. I did for the first time, well for the first time ever, right?
Rob (03:42.872)
Good plan.
Rob (03:48.174)
tips from beginning to end here. Well done. But now, what about you? What'd you do last week?
Rob (04:01.538)
Yeah, you did.
Craig (04:08.846)
First time, or not first time, first time in the USA. And I've been here for four years. I played your slot machines here in, in, in Vegas. And I put 50 bucks in and five minutes later I walked away with nothing in my pocket, but that's okay. I just, I did it. I did it for the sake of saying that I did it. That's all it was. I didn't do it for any other reason. I knew I wasn't going to win anything. And it was just literally as we're after dinner.
Rob (04:15.318)
really?
Rob (04:22.354)
the one-armed bandit strikes again. Yes, the house thanks you.
Craig (04:36.004)
We walking past and, you know, the pretty lights get you and they go, and you think to yourself, hang on, why am I drawn to that particular one? You know, anything. So maybe it's maybe it's, you know, something in some intuition. I've got some financial intuitions. Yeah, that's not the case. This is pretty lights. Yeah, yeah, it was.
Rob (04:43.8)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (04:51.49)
Right. look, it's the crocodile hunter, you know, spin and win game or it's, know, that's not a knife. It's, know, any of the absolutely there are different styles of games that really do attract different types of people. I agree. And yeah. I honestly I knew there had to be some reason for it.
Craig (05:03.696)
You
It actually had the Australian flag on it, Rob, so you're not wrong. See, there you go.
Rob (05:14.822)
it that's what it would take for Lou as well. does not like those types of games where me I can walk along and be like, I like that. I like that bright and shiny. Ooh, I like that. Yeah. So yeah.
Craig (05:18.732)
No,
Craig (05:24.43)
No, no, no. So, but yeah, that's what I've been up to, Rob. Utilizing the vac quite constantly too through Vegas and walking, walking the streets of Vegas, doing with the vac and also in a car as well, doing the vac in a car too. And we're going to discuss a little bit of that too because at the same time I listened to the Munzee Maniacs podcast and I will say, wow, my name, the name Craig,
got mentioned several hundred times in the last episode. Well, it felt that way anyway, so it was quite funny. surprise, surprise actually, PJ actually enjoyed the vac. He's got some feedback, which we'll go through as well, but he surprisingly enjoyed the vac, so.
Rob (05:58.284)
Right.
Rob (06:13.506)
Well, it's a great thing that we've tested for a really long time that we're asking everyone else to help us test now. And we, you know, it's, it's a very inexpensive way to get a hundred virtual. So I'm really glad that we have PJ's approval. That's fantastic. Non-sarcastic, honestly, Monday maniacs. Thanks for chatting about it and PJ. It's good. Good to, good to hear positive at the beginning.
Craig (06:17.484)
Yeah.
Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Craig (06:26.639)
Yes.
Well, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Absolutely. And we all know what PJ, if we listen to him as well, we all know what PJ is like. mean, look what he's like with the greenies, capyuran greenies every single day. He hated that to begin with. he, he, he, he had a meltdown. Is Bruno PJ's alter ego? I'm not sure. okay. There we go.
Rob (06:47.525)
we don't, we don't talk about Bruno or PJ's feeling about the greenies from day one.
Ha ha ha!
No, it's a Disney cartoon. It's a line from that. Yeah, sorry.
Craig (07:03.82)
All right. Yes. If you haven't listened to the Munzee Maniacs podcast, go ahead, go and take a listen. The Munzee Maniacs podcast is on all your, all your podcast apps, wherever you can hear this podcast, you'll hear theirs as well. Meanwhile, Rob, the events from last weekend, we had none the entire world because it was in between clan wars and that clan wars have started. We'll talk about that very soon. But the leaderboards, Rob, you want to start with Friday, mate?
Rob (07:27.042)
This is one of the wildest leaderboards that we've ever read. And actually, it's not wild. I should have said this is one of the mildest leaderboards, isn't it? Anyway, let's let everyone figure out why. On Friday, we had NZ Kiwi at hundred and forty six thousand as the winner, then Jaroslav Kos, one hundred ninety eight thousand and Munzi Prof, one hundred ninety thousand.
Craig (07:29.648)
Yes. Yes.
Craig (07:50.353)
On Saturday, we had the Alter Ego NZ Kiwi with 224,000 points, Jaroslav Kas in second again with 163,000 points, and Jack Sparrow this time in third with 150,000 points. On Sunday,
Rob (07:54.894)
Ha
Rob (08:05.102)
Wrapping it up, had NZKiwi, why not, 290,000. That's right, first place, three days in a row. And in second place, three days in a row, Jaroslav Kos, 204,000. And back in third place, MunziProf, 182,000. Wow.
Craig (08:08.272)
You
Craig (08:13.071)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (08:17.55)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (08:22.936)
That's, it is a wild leadable. Over three days you had first place and second place being the same two people. And then Munzie Prof getting third on the Friday and Sunday as well. So well done to those. Those, but yeah, as you can see, the points weren't that high in comparison to other weekends. is all because it's in between Clan Wars time. And actually surprised me because I didn't, I'm like, where's, where's Cold Cracker 7?
Rob (08:33.87)
crazy.
Craig (08:45.7)
Where's Colecracker7? anyway, mate, we're hitting up now events this weekend. In USA we have, ready for this, Massachusetts, Maryland, Kentucky, Arizona, Alabama, California, Indiana, Texas, Tennessee, and two in Florida. Iowa, not Indiana, Iowa, Iowa, IA, IA. There's lots.
Rob (08:58.838)
it
Rob (09:03.086)
You got it. Hey, sorry. Had to say you got it. That's a lot. There's lots. Well done. You read through them. In the world, we have two in Ontario, Canada, two in Finland, England, two in Germany, two in Denmark and Victoria, Australia.
Craig (09:19.886)
Now the calendar has been updated to show holiday events in December. What do holiday events mean? And they're flashing with a pink border.
Rob (09:29.132)
You know, those special events that the hosts have paid for the additional package. So you're actually going to get, you know, some, some extra perks and other badge, special icons, all that stuff. So yeah, they're flashing pink. Be sure that, if, if you're looking to get to one of those, find one on the map, if it's not flashing, then it's what we consider just a normal event. All right. Yeah.
Craig (09:34.123)
yes.
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Craig (09:47.364)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (09:51.675)
A normal event. Yep, exactly right. Meanwhile, big events coming up this weekend. December 7th, Newmarket England. That one's a big event happening over there as well. January 9th to 11th, North Netherlands. Three events for FROK's birthday. January 16th to 18th, Munzey Mecca in Florida. February 20th, Foley, Alabama. The day before the Bamarama Mega. Geocaching Mega, that is. And March 6th and 7th is Munzey Madness over in California. And then September 18th to 20th, Munzey Mania in Minnesota. So.
There we go. So they're the big events. We're moving on now because we've got quite a bit to talk about this week. basically, as we said last week, we read through the blogs and these are the blogs. First and foremost, Rob, the Muns pack has come out. The new Muns pack for December. Tell us more about the Muns pack for December.
Rob (10:20.823)
Indeed.
Rob (10:35.062)
Yes, it has December months pack is here. The apothecary pack rat is there as well. I believe there's only one more pack rat to be released because we had 12 months of those that were set up. So I believe that the final one's going to come out in January. So if you've never signed up for in these 11 months, if you've never signed up for the months pack, you do get one in the hybrid and in the virtual.
Craig (10:40.462)
Craig (10:47.823)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (10:55.397)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (11:05.134)
So, you know, this is a way to earn cogs because when you get the pack rats, they are capped a certain number of times and when they retire or archive, they bring back, believe, two cogs each time. You can use twigs to to rebuild them. And yeah, the circle of life is what it is between mechs.
Craig (11:05.135)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (11:10.604)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (11:15.918)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Craig (11:26.928)
Mm-hmm.
It is.
Rob (11:32.759)
Widdles and pack rats.
Craig (11:36.081)
Yeah, and I will say, mean, you said, you know, if you haven't done it in the last 11 months, why not give it a start now to see what the MUNS pack is like for the next month or for this month, for instance, and then to see, hang on a second, I do like this and I'm gonna get all of them for next year as well for 2026. So have a taste of it this month and then if you like it, then stick around for all of next year because something's in the pipelines, I'll say that, for next year for the MUNS pack. So there we go, there we go.
Rob (12:01.806)
Which is true. It's a great way to support us, help the company move forward, grow. This is also discounted products basically. you're paying like for the virtual one, you're paying $25 and you're getting up to $35 and sometimes it's a little more, sometimes it's more like 32.
Craig (12:08.068)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Craig (12:14.511)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (12:23.257)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (12:25.262)
But it's always more than $25 and then for the hybrid you're paying $20 a month and you're getting anywhere from $22 to $30 ish. So always more value. So anyway, we would appreciate you checking it out.
Craig (12:36.324)
Mm-hmm.
Yep. Absolutely. Meanwhile, Rob, the December Munchroom has now come out as well. remember with the Munchrooms, if you're brand new or you've never got a Munchroom before, then you can still grab these because they're very, very, very cheap. They get cheaper each month. Exactly. It's one dollar. That's it. One dollar for the December one. But remember, you need eight Munchrooms throughout the entire year.
Rob (12:54.702)
It's $1. Yeah.
Craig (13:04.528)
to get a permanent one for 2026, because all these munchrooms will go away in January. yeah, you need eight for the permanent one to then be received for 2026, onward, because they are permanent, Rob. Do you like the munchrooms, Rob? How's the munchrooms been this year?
Rob (13:17.859)
Yes.
I I've enjoyed them. I always think this sort of thing is fun. It's, you know, the the the base piece that you use for all of the streak skins that you can earn by playing, you know, every single day in the month. so this time it's been mushrooms. We have a fun idea for next year because, know, this has been one of those. It started off as a garden collection and, you know, this time with mushrooms.
Craig (13:25.168)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (13:32.761)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (13:40.24)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (13:50.094)
mushrooms grow in the garden. So maybe now is the time for everybody to start guessing like, what are we coming out with next year that would be, it would be a garden ish, you know, feature. yeah.
Craig (13:52.185)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (13:56.913)
that's naughty.
Craig (14:02.596)
Well, you've had the gai, you've had the gnomes and the gnomes sit in the gardens as well, you see. So yeah, yeah, absolutely. The flamingos, yeah. The glass guardians, yeah, yeah. Exactly. They can, they can all, they can all sit in the garden. So what else can sit in the garden? Give us, give us your ideas or thoughts. So I like that. I like that. Even start a conversation on the wine cooler about what can be, what could be for, sorry, the water cooler. That was, was a mistake. Yes.
Rob (14:05.774)
Flamingos, glass guardians, stained glass.
Rob (14:22.478)
the water cooler. Speaking of the water cooler, let's talk about the December clam requirements because they came out and crickets.
Craig (14:33.072)
Mm-hmm.
Not one, not one comment Rob on the December Clan Wars announcement on the Munzee page or the water cooler. So neither of them had any comments at all. Why would that be Rob? Why would there be no comments whatsoever on any of the December Clan Wars? Yes. Yeah. Yeah. No, no, Yeah.
Rob (14:49.901)
Rick it.
Rob (14:56.11)
personal opinion here, right? This is not a rant. is personal opinion based on 12 years of research, I believe. 150 or more clan setups. December was a gift, if you will. I'm not saying that it's, you know, a gimme. I'm not saying that it's
Craig (15:05.552)
Ongoing research.
Craig (15:13.391)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (15:17.956)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Rob (15:22.962)
overly easy, but it certainly was a toned down month. We know that the temperatures around the world, know, December, July, those are some of those, you know, polarizing months. And I think you personally can tell that it's nice and cold right now in December.
Craig (15:27.376)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (15:33.008)
changing.
Craig (15:37.497)
Hmm.
Craig (15:43.29)
Yeah, it is quite cool here in December right now.
Rob (15:47.494)
Those in the Northern Hemisphere, depending on how much further north they are, definitely no Josh and Tim are in feet of snow at this point, something like that. yeah, so anyway, to those who are cold, maybe the clan requirements will be a little gentler on you. To those who are hot down under, for example, hopefully this will help you so that you don't have to spend all your time out in the blazing sun.
Craig (15:53.818)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (15:57.399)
Yes, yes I am. Yeah, yeah.
Craig (16:10.501)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (16:16.176)
And yes, in the scorching Australian sun. So yeah, no, I didn't say any issues, no comments at all. But as we all know, Rob, it's like anything, and we're not talking just about Munzie here, I'm talking everything, any business out there, life in general. If someone complains about an issue, they will complain about the issue. If someone likes something, they won't mention anything at all. And that's the same thing with this sort of stuff here. People like this, and so they don't say anything. They don't.
Rob (16:19.042)
Yeah.
Rob (16:28.215)
life.
Rob (16:39.81)
you
Craig (16:43.152)
right on there saying, know, oh, this is great month, you know, thank you MHQ. don't write any of that stuff. And rightfully so, because no one ever does it for anything. If I have a beautiful night stay at an accommodation somewhere, I'm not gonna write a really nice review for them because, you know, it was nice.
Rob (16:48.792)
Ha ha.
Rob (16:59.726)
Sometimes, you know, it's nice to step out there and to use the word passionate. know, we're well, we do this because we're passionate about it. And this is why we have these conversations. And again, not only about Munzee, but about all things. You know, there are some businesses who go so far as to put a Google review QR code on your table and say, please give us a good review and mention my name. I'm Rob, mention my name.
Craig (17:06.286)
Yes. Yeah. Yeah.
Yes.
Craig (17:16.119)
Everything, life in general.
Craig (17:22.872)
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, too busy. Too busy for that. Exactly. Podcast. Exactly. All right. Moving on. We've got a brand new gaming type that come out as well as gaming type of Munzee called Who Duck It? Tell us, Rob, who did duck it?
Rob (17:29.55)
You know, it's so Maybe we'll get to that point one day. Well, I don't need to pander. We'll just pander here on the on the podcast. It's all good.
Rob (17:47.554)
Yeah. So you know what? Here's the thing is this is a brand new gaming type in terms of player ownership. But what it's not is not a brand new piece to the game because this is actually one of our what we call mobs, the Munzee owned bouncers, right? Flash mob type deal. This was something that we put out. It was called M.H. Clue.
Craig (17:55.567)
Mm-hmm.
Yes.
Craig (18:03.514)
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm. Right. Yep.
Craig (18:14.544)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (18:14.67)
back in the day, spelled with a Q, M-H Clue. And yeah, so the game pieces, what we did is Dylan went through, he refreshed the story, we changed up some of the players in the game, but yeah, we wanted to put it out there for the players just to see, like, what do you think of some of our mobs being reintroduced into the game? Same artwork, similar artwork, that kind of thing?
Craig (18:18.809)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (18:29.765)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (18:39.704)
Yep. Yep.
Rob (18:43.502)
Just for people to be able to interact with and and put them out there for each other So those of you that weren't a weren't playing back in like 2020-2021 when we did this There you have it it also takes artwork that we spent a lot of time and game pieces that we spent a lot of time working on and it just kind of Refreshes the game in a way without us having to use up a lot more resources. So we're trying to work smarter. Yeah
Craig (18:46.213)
Yeah.
Craig (18:53.136)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (18:59.277)
Yes.
Craig (19:04.387)
Yes. Yeah.
Craig (19:08.398)
Yeah, so it's perfect. Yes, exactly right. And if you want to know more about any of these stuff that we talk about as well, they're all in the blog. They're in the official blog itself, go into the blog and you'll find all the details in terms of points and schedules and times and all that sort of too. So meanwhile, Rob, at the same time in the blog, came out the Revenge of the Leftovers. So now you can actually purchase a Scottbot or a Gobbler mech as well. So they weren't these.
Rob (19:32.82)
Yeah, to
Craig (19:34.949)
These came out as a scatter, again, like a Munzee Unbounce scatter as well for that time with the, what do you call those? The Living Mechs, that's right. And it was a scatter. It was a Munzee scatter event basically. Yeah, these come out then. And a few people online, on Facebook, et cetera, asked, especially if their name was Scott, can we buy a Scott bot? Well, guess what? Yes, you can. So the Scott bots and the Goblin Mechs are available. And don't forget.
Rob (19:43.092)
Night of the Living Max, something like that, yeah.
Yeah.
Rob (19:59.231)
Yeah.
Craig (20:02.722)
Once you buy these Scott bots or Gobble of mechs, they do come with a blueprint so you can rebuild them after they get diminished after that too. So any other information about the Scott bot or the Gobblers? No, all done. Very good, Rob, we'll move you on. If you're going to one of those pink, flashing pink events this weekend or even any weekend this month, what's gonna be there? Something brand new that's never happened before and that is the event party pinata, Rob. Tell us more about the
Rob (20:13.528)
Nope, that was good. Yeah.
Rob (20:30.062)
Yeah, we're super excited. we've put some time into a little something new for all the attendees, you know, for these for these special holiday events. And yeah, we're excited about it. It is a party pinata. This idea kind of came from you, which came from a player, Kevin. Well done. So, you know, thanks for continuing to put the pressure on or better yet, just for continuing conversations. And so this is how a lot of things happen.
Craig (20:32.588)
Event Party Pinata
Craig (20:42.874)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (20:50.348)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (20:58.254)
Yes.
Rob (20:59.736)
But so I'll just throw his name out there since you already said the end part of his name. Anyway, the the the pinata is basically so basic information. Go read the blog for full information is it's a piece that's going to be on the map owned by the event account that all players in attendance will be able to scan a QR code in order to take a whack, if you will capture.
Craig (21:12.112)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (21:18.32)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (21:26.424)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Rob (21:27.822)
this pinata and it's going to send out scatters. Some that are only for the players, some that are for everyone and then it's also going to be giving prizes. I don't know if everyone will get prizes or if only some it's gonna be sort of a luck of the draw kind of like a real pinata. Does everyone absolutely win? No, but anyway, it should be a fun piece. This is kind of a trial to see.
Craig (21:44.142)
Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yes. No.
Mm-hmm.
Rob (21:56.75)
how it works and you know, we'll do some tweaking and maybe it'll be back next year for more fun.
Craig (22:03.278)
Yeah, yeah. And at the same time, it does break too at some point in time. It will break. And once it breaks, all the scatters get flown everywhere in different directions for different lengths of time for everyone. So everyone can then run around and collect their scatters from there as well. yeah, yeah. A virtual real pinata, a virtual real, that sounds good.
Rob (22:10.35)
That's right.
Rob (22:21.24)
Just like a real pinata, yeah.
Rob (22:26.67)
True.
Craig (22:26.73)
yeah, no, and you're, and you're right, Rob. I was at a Munzee event a few months back now and, one of the players, Kay Wilheim, I'll mention his name happily. he, he gave me this idea and said like, you know, what about this? I went, know what? like that idea. I really do. And I, came to the team and brought up with the team and the team's like, yep, we rewrote it down and we've been sort of working on it on a month to month basis for like how it's going to work, who's going to get what points, you know, because we try and make it fair for everyone as well.
Those people that are, for instance, you know, are not as able-bodied as others when it comes to running, you know, for instance, you're not everyone can be like Joshua, the geocaching vlogger and just literally sprint everywhere. Those sort of things too. So we tried to make it as good as possible for everyone involved, you know, so. Yeah, so thank you for that. Kevin, well done. Event party pinata, I them at all the pink, the pink flashing events this month. Meanwhile, Rob, speaking of, here we go.
Rob (23:05.325)
Right.
Craig (23:25.658)
PJ from the MunzeyMoneyS podcast, he brought up a few things. He used the VAC at his event as well, or their event I should say, and he really actually enjoyed the event. He had some issues. He said he had issues. Now I don't know what these issues or how these issues are, but first and foremost, he said, circle increases or decreases randomly. And I was like, hang on a second, that's very, very strange. And so I tried to re-interact that as well with the app and see how it works.
it only increases or decreases as you zoom in or zoom out. So unless you're zooming in or out, that was the only other way it could increase or decrease. Or if you're using a capture radius booster, it increases to a thousand feet from 500 feet to a thousand feet. So unless those two things happen, PJ, it can't physically go big and small, big and small just randomly. So Rob, what do you have to say in regards to the circle? The orange circle? Yeah.
Rob (24:22.35)
perspective it's perspective on the map and in terms of really kind of answering all the questions about the circle as you move with the vac the circle is a representation of this is the area if you want to know exact numbers then you have to tap on you know a specific onesie and you can see what the distance is as you get to it so it's kind of like the circles on
Craig (24:33.722)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (24:46.188)
Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah.
Rob (24:52.098)
cup Z and everywhere else, you know, like, does it get down to exact? Yes, Sam probably has it a bit more like that. But this, this circle that's in the app, the yellow circle for the vac, it's, I'm just going to use the words that you used in our notes, it is looking at this as a top down view. And so the circle itself,
Craig (24:54.245)
Yes.
Craig (24:59.418)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Craig (25:13.455)
Yes.
Rob (25:16.622)
You're not looking at it top down. You're looking at it from an angle. So you're not going to see the circle pass through every single one. Because remember the pin that's on the map is basically laying flat on the map. So only the tip of that Munzee. That's all that matters in terms of the circle. yeah.
Craig (25:18.968)
No. Angle.
Craig (25:30.993)
Yes, that pin, that's right. That's right. That's right, that's right. And I've done it before where we're in testing for the last few months where I've literally attached a Munzee and then had a look at it, the countdown in terms of the distance, you know? And if I'm running the vac at 500 feet, yeah, it looks at 600 feet, know, 550, 525, but it looks like it may be inside the circle at 525, but.
If you look at, oh no, it's still not, it's still a 525. So again, that's what you're saying, it's not a top-down view. And I'll be honest, I think this is either Google Maps or Apple Maps thing, none of them are top-down views like this, know, because none of them use a gaming piece like we do for this particular purpose. So some look closer, some look further away than what they actually are. So you can't actually get a top-down view version of it. And it's the same as well when you utilize the new follow me mode.
that's involved as well with a turn by turn that that that turns around that that turns with you so I think too so there's been a couple of a couple of people mentioned the turn by turn a few people like it a few people don't don't forget you don't have to turn it on if you don't like it I don't use it so it's each to their own each to their own yeah no no
Rob (26:30.751)
yeah.
Rob (26:46.466)
Yeah, me either. Yeah, I don't like it. I don't want my map turning all over the place. And when I accidentally get there, I'm like, man, not again. So yeah, to those who love it. Cool.
Craig (26:54.768)
Yeah, cool, go for it. At the same time, does utilize the turn-by-turn, does utilize your own GPS and compass device in your device itself, in your mobile phone or cell phone, what do wanna call it? So sometimes people have had it spinning a couple of times before it straightens up, well, that's your internal mode. That's not a Munzee issue, that's your internal mode of your device. So that's all for those.
meanwhile, he did say as well, something about the not capping. Everything I do believe that is because of the radius. Remember that does cap all virtuals except for strolls, daily stroll starts.
Rob (27:33.518)
So it could be either the radius, that circle being a guide, or if you are in a sea of virtuals and you're moving at pace, the vac is taking circles within that circle. So it's working. And while it's working in the background and while that working is only taking seconds, it may miss some in big, huge seas. Yeah, yeah, absolutely. So there you go.
Craig (27:36.868)
Mm-hmm. Yep.
Craig (27:43.23)
Mm-hmm. Yes.
Craig (27:49.871)
Yes.
Craig (27:58.449)
from the outsides of the circle, yeah. From the outskirts of that circle. Exactly, that makes sense as well. They do turn orange if they're going to be captured in the group for your 100 virtuals as well. Meanwhile, Rob, he did say what a few people have said as well, and that is they're looking into the issue of the multiple Vaxping used at once and only capping 100 still. What's going on with that one now?
Rob (28:21.726)
Yeah. So the good news is on our side is that we wrote a, by the way, we know this is an issue. If you use multiple VACs, this is something that we are still investigating. Well, the good news is for all of us on today, Wednesday, as we are speaking and actually yesterday, Tuesday, we put a fix in place. So you and I are supposed to be testing that. yeah, by Friday, hopefully.
Craig (28:29.424)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (28:42.606)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Hahaha
Rob (28:49.856)
what is in the app is going to be working properly on the multiple facts. Yep.
Craig (28:53.764)
Very, very cool, very cool. All right, moving on to the Munzee Question of the Week. This one came to me on my Facebook Messenger, and that is, can sleepzies be blasted if you've already blasted them before? So, hmm. Hmm.
Rob (29:06.976)
Yes, they should be able to be blasted a second time like the next year if you're the only person, for example, in the area. I've never personally seen this happening. I've not to my knowledge, to my remembrance, I've not heard and actually seen an example of this from any player. So if someone has a specific Munzee that this is happening to them, please let us know.
Craig (29:12.77)
Mm-hmm. Yeah, the next year. Yeah. Yeah.
Craig (29:25.509)
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
Rob (29:34.828)
Don't forget, not all sleep Z's are blastable. So if you send us an amethyst or a surprise Munzee or then yeah, we're going to say that's not a blastable type. please, please be sure that it's a blastable type before you send us a support ticket. I'm not laughing at you. Just saying like, this is something that we've seen. Yeah.
Craig (29:38.415)
Yes.
Craig (29:45.391)
Yes.
Craig (29:49.743)
Haha
It's possible. Because you think about it as well, and I've done it several times in past, and that is I blast something and I look and I'm like, hang on, what's that? Because it didn't capture in the blast. And then look at it, oh, it's an amethyst. Oh, it's an amethyst. Oh, the amethyst are only 150 feet. That's me talking, by the way, not anyone else. Yeah, the amethyst are only 150 feet, and they're non-blastable. So things like that too. So very, very cool indeed. Meanwhile, Rob, we'll go into the Munzee tip of the week. The tip of the week for, yeah.
Rob (30:08.303)
Yeah, yeah, it is you.
Rob (30:19.266)
Yeah, can I can I give a tip about the BVG's and then you may have you may have a second one as well. But the BVG's. OK, cool. There you go. Thank you. You're very kind. The BVG's are manually scheduled by me for events. so, you know, when it's a sea full of events, it's very likely that you're not going to see all of the BVG's. So, you know, just keep that in mind.
Craig (30:22.54)
Absolutely. Yeah, we'll give a tip each. We'll give a tip each. You can go first.
You
Craig (30:36.172)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Craig (30:45.508)
Yeah.
Rob (30:48.418)
between events, and outside the event time periods, the, they randomly bounce and that is an automated process now. So, if you want the BBGs to just randomly bounce to you, they do follow activity. So my hint to you is keep capping, cap those things out there that are, on the map, from Munzee. Yeah. Things that you can cap daily. Don't forget about those. All right. So.
Craig (30:52.964)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (31:03.6)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (31:07.054)
Yeah.
Craig (31:12.432)
Daily, daily things. Things, all the things you can cap daily. Don't forget about those things you can cap daily. And what would be those things like, know, a tree house, a sky land, a POI, a wishing well. I'm just randomly putting all those things brainstorming, yeah, live as we speak. All right Rob, moving on to my tip of the week. And my tip of the week is to remember to keep, this is for December, keep the bonus events calendar.
Rob (31:19.81)
Just a good idea.
man, you're gonna lay out?
Brainstorming. Okay, cool. Yeah. I like it.
Craig (31:40.304)
handy on your phone to see what's happening each and every single day, especially if you are a mailbox holder, because every single day is something happening out there and you want to take advantage on a daily basis of what's going on. in the morning I wake up, Rob, straight away go to the calendar and go, okay, what's my focus for today? You know, like this week we started off with the double magnet events as well. So of course, when I did my tree house run, I magnetized all the tree houses. And again,
Rob (32:00.376)
Nice.
Craig (32:09.872)
14 for a premium treehouse. That's pretty good. But because I magnetize it I get 50 points per bouncer extra on top Thanks for coming. Here I am using my magnets and getting all the points and you wonder Rob how I stay ahead of you so much Well, there you go
Rob (32:26.786)
Wow. I don't wonder at all. I know exactly how you do it and well done. I woke up on December 1st, I magnetized and I was like, I guess we have double magnets on. So yeah, that's the difference between how you and I play. You're playing the right way, the wise way you're playing and sharing tips with others. Thank you for sharing that with others.
Craig (32:40.964)
Yeah.
Merry Christmas!
Very, very cool Rob. All right, mate, that ends another official Munzee podcast.

Craig (33:08.036)
So keep scanning, keep discovering, keep the Munzee spirit live up. One, two, three, Munzee on. we did the same tonight.
Rob (33:12.29)
Munzee on! This is lucky!
