Craig (00:01.202)
Welcome to the official Munzee podcast.
Rob (00:03.582)
I'm Rob, also known as Coach V, your host and the president of Munzee.
Craig (00:07.85)
And I'm Craig also known as Seemyshell, I started as an avid Munzee player and I'm proudly part of the team.
Rob (00:13.12)
Each week we'll delve into Munzee's mysteries, divulge some secrets, and inform players from around the world just what is coming your way.
Craig (00:19.882)
So sit back, relax, and today we've got Rob. Yes, we've got Rob back. Back, Rob, back from the depths of wherever you were for, you had a week off, mate, and rightfully so. was your birthday, So it was your 50th birthday. So Tim did jump in your place quite well. I only managed to call him Rob once, I think, or maybe twice on the episode, so wasn't too bad. I know, but more.
Rob (00:31.548)
away. Yeah.
Rob (00:39.032)
Hey, impressive. I have to admit upfront, I haven't listened to it yet. My apologies. It didn't make it onto my top list of that's what I should do today between Friday and as we record on the Wednesday, not yet.
Craig (00:45.983)
That's okay.
That's okay.
Craig (00:52.952)
Hehehehehe
No, that's a robot. That's understandable. but you know, we've had Tim on before we've announced him before that he's part of the team. He's been part of the team now for months and months and Yet some people still didn't realize that until we spoke on Friday. So there you go. Yeah. Yeah. There you go. Everyone says now they're asking for his flat now and they're all that sort of stuff too.
Rob (01:11.178)
well alright.
Craig (01:17.994)
And then, know, you've got some people asking, you know, what's, what's, what's, what's going on? does he do and blah, blah, blah, blah. So there you go. So informing people more so about that Tim being on board. Thank you very much, Tim. I know you listen, mate. So I know you listen. Thank you, mate, for, filling in for Rob for that week as well. So that's his second, second time he's been on the show.
Rob (01:23.743)
okay.
Rob (01:35.34)
Yes. Second time, thank you very much. He does the shipping and production. He sends it to the world. Lou and I send it to the UK. That's the that's him wrapped up in a nutshell. Does he do more than that? Yes, but that's the base.
Craig (01:41.684)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (01:46.345)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (01:49.876)
Pretty much. Yeah. That's the base of what he does. Other than that, Rob, what have you been up to the last sort two weeks now it's been? Since Muncie Matt?
Rob (01:55.054)
Thanks Tim.
Rob (02:00.27)
Wow. It has had a great time at Munzee Madness. Thank you for reminding me of that. Really enjoyed. Yeah, the hosts hanging out with them. The players I met a few new players partially because I was involved in recruiting them with Joshua, the geocaching blogger. So that was fun. Celebrated my birthday with everyone, which is really fun to do at Munzee Madness. They always.
Craig (02:04.745)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (02:09.642)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (02:14.846)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (02:19.41)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (02:28.244)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (02:30.69)
roll out, know, the green carpet for me, I suppose. And yeah, we just have a good time. and yeah, so to all of those players, thank you again for everything. We had a good time. And, I know that they did too, because it was made clear. So yeah, that was the wrapping up Munzee madness. The rest of the stuff, as far as Munzee goes, I'm doing minimal effort for the playing of the game and you can confirm that. And let's see.
Craig (02:33.844)
Yeah.
Craig (02:39.807)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (02:55.022)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yes, I can.
Rob (03:00.428)
I've got a couple, I've got a crate that I'm trying to finish off and we'll get that done probably today or tomorrow. And then that'll get us to the next level. I don't think that our plan is going to make it to level six this month. We've got the points for it and beyond, but I'm pretty sure we're not going to hit level six. It's going to be the POIs that get me. Yeah. Sorry. Yeah.
Craig (03:07.466)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (03:21.098)
is that what's going to get you? There you go. That's all right. You can only like anything with Clans itself. It's a team sport. You can only go as far as the slowest player. So.
Rob (03:28.104)
in deed. You know what, there weren't that many POIs in Kauai, because that's where I was for my birthday. Yeah. So in particular, where we were there, like there just there wasn't stuff. We also didn't go driving around all the time. We literally just chilled out while I was there. I heard that people sometimes choose to go to Hawaii for their 50th birthday, which was interesting.
Craig (03:34.718)
No, funny, funny enough.
Mm-hmm.
Craig (03:46.042)
Mm-hmm. Mm-mm. Yeah.
Craig (03:55.562)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (03:56.578)
because they call it the Hawaii five it was like, like the TV show, the old TV show, Hawaii five and it was like, well, I didn't plan that on purpose, but, but I had a really great time. Yeah. So it's it's a cool Island. it's called the garden aisle. You chill. And that's what I was really looking forward to and, showing Lou around, pretty much my favorite place kind of in the world. So, yeah.
Craig (04:00.01)
Oh, wow. Yeah. Yeah.
Craig (04:07.369)
But that sounds good.
Craig (04:13.821)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Craig (04:21.481)
And I will say this is from a, from a team point of view as well. And that is we made sure as in the team and made sure that Rob did actually unplug, you know, and, took some time off well, well needed, and, and well rested time off as well. So some time with just yourself and with Lou, as always, a lot of people don't realize Rob that they, they work their nine to five, but they have every weekend off. No one actually realizes that you wake up.
Rob (04:35.494)
Ha
Craig (04:50.505)
from your slumber and you start work. You start work all the way through until your eyes go to sleep again. And that's, it's, it's 20, it's almost 24 seven for you. Seven days a week. There's no such thing as weekends off. Yeah.
Rob (04:54.05)
Yeah.
Rob (05:00.204)
I am on call. I am on call for everything at all times. That is absolutely true. I am pinged, I am messaged, I am tagged, things happen. That was the understanding. If things are going on and you don't get me in the normal ways, please text me. Yeah, I was very happy with checking in every day and spending a very minimal time, a couple of days less than.
Craig (05:06.119)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Craig (05:11.191)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Craig (05:19.496)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (05:26.862)
15 to 30 minutes. Like there are tasks that I have to do every single day. So we all knew I would be there. but yeah, very, very pleased, very proud of the team for all the work. So to the team, since everyone listens, thank you all very much.
Craig (05:28.403)
Yeah.
Of course.
Craig (05:36.937)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (05:41.546)
Tim is the only team member that listens, but anyway, Rob, meanwhile, off Munzee case, I will say this. I've locked up, I've got chickens now, I've got two ducks and there's dogs and cats and all sorts right here. I've been having to lock up one of the ducks every single day because they've been chasing the chickens around nonstop and not because the chickens are eating food or anything, just literally chase, chase, chase, chase, chase, chase. So I chased the duck away and lock them back up.
Rob (05:55.957)
Indeed.
Craig (06:10.921)
Come to find Rob, the duck is a Drake. It's a he. And so now he's following his instincts. I looked this up. I Google it. I did some research and looked at a YouTube video. Yes, it's a he. And so now I will have to build another enclosure for him and the other ducks as well. So he doesn't kill any of the chickens by means of, you know, uh, rude terms anyway. So yeah, so that's what it is. I can't believe it, Rob. That happened yesterday.
Rob (06:36.515)
Wow.
Rob (06:40.91)
tying this directly into Munzee, you have solved who duck it. It's the duck. It was the Drake. It was nasty Drake. Malfoy. You can come up with some great name for that. That duck that Drake and then lock him up and duck prison very close to the chickens so that he can see possibly smell and want to chase. He was. He was probably just trying to keep them fit. That's what I'm going to say in defense.
Craig (06:46.141)
Who ducked it? There you go. It's a duck.
Yeah. Yeah. Mm-hmm.
Craig (07:02.481)
Yes, absolutely. Yeah.
Rob (07:10.951)
of who duck it, criminal, but you know, that's.
Craig (07:12.905)
Yeah, yeah. No, no, this is true. And I, in Turkey, Munzee terms as well, I've now seen the full evolution of the duck. So there you go. We do. We do.
Rob (07:21.486)
hey, there you go. We do have those duck evos. That's perfect. What you thought you had is in fact not the correct evo. The quack is the one that came out instead or whichever of the ducks is the mean one. Yikes, but not mean, instinctual, just a duck being a duck.
Craig (07:33.532)
Yes.
Craig (07:37.13)
Exactly. That's what he is. Instinctual just been a duck being wanting to procrastinate with other members of a flock. anyway, all right, Rob, moving on now, after all that non-munsie talk events from last weekend, we had four in California, Nebraska, Iowa, Alabama, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina around the world, mate, we had.
Rob (07:47.83)
Hehehehehe
Rob (08:00.29)
We had Ontario and British Columbia, Canada, two in England, Denmark and Finland.
Craig (08:07.114)
Now the leaderboards over the weekend as well. Friday, we have some new names on here too. Friday we had Primchin with 242,000 points in second place. Jaroslav Kas, 208,000 points. And third place is the third in the world, Munzi Prof with 191,000 points on Saturday,
Rob (08:25.966)
Saturday we had Snickers 71, 812,000, Spaniel, yes, Spaniel, 513,000, and Veto Tech 451,000.
Craig (08:37.674)
Oh, that a tech coming through for third Sunday. had Snickers 71 back in first again for the two days in a row, 307,000 points followed by Gerard Z with 366,000 points and Vony with 336,000 points as well. So congratulations to all our placeholders over the weekend. The events this weekend, we've got two in Florida, one in California, Minnesota, Texas, and Missouri and around the world.
Rob (09:04.674)
Japan back on the calendar. right, Denmark Germany and Netherlands
Craig (09:07.335)
Yeah.
Now with Japan, remember that they held that on Friday. Now that's Friday Japan time, not Friday US MHQ time. So by the time you listen to this, the Japan one would have been done and dusted. So well done to the Munzee Maniacs, or three quarters of the Munzee Maniacs podcast. They were there, so it would have been Sarah and PJ as well. So well done to those. Two thirds, did I say two thirds? I said three quarters, I? two thirds, meant. Wow, thanks Mr. Math Teacher.
Rob (09:32.728)
Two thirds, two thirds of them, but yes. You said three quarters, yeah, sorry.
Craig (09:40.171)
Don't forget the pink pink highlights themselves on the, uh, on the events calendar represent the, the specials for the event streaks as well. So make sure you have a look at those specials. If you're wanting to do an event streak every single month from there. Meanwhile, Rob, some big events and some new big events as well coming up. June five, six and seven South coast mega. They're already calling it a mega. Look at that six events. So it is huge. Six events in, am I going to say this right? Is it pool or pulley?
Rob (09:40.248)
anytime.
Rob (10:10.082)
Yeah, just pull. Yeah.
Craig (10:11.186)
Pull just pull in southern England. There's over 40 Willa Tens so far and that includes Sam from the team as well He's gonna be there also I saw on their Willa Tens list the number one and number two players in the entire World Coal Cracker 7 and W Helen are gonna be there too They're making the the trek over from the from the good old us of a to England once again South Coast mega June 5 6 & 7 6 events Rob. That's full. That's full events
Rob (10:39.79)
That is a big weekend. Very good.
Craig (10:42.122)
Mm Very, cool. Uh, after that we have July 10, 11, 12 in the Netherlands as well. There's a few events over there. Uh, Ohio in July 23rd and 24th Munzee at Midwest Geobash. Uh, don't forget then September 18 to 20 Munzee Mania in Minnesota. Uh, and then after that one, this is brand new on the calendar. Rob saw this this morning, January 14, 15, 16, 17. Yes, restaurant for days, five events, four days. Munzee Mecca has been placed in Florida.
to exact location to be determined. So, but it is on the calendar. Those, those events are on the calendar. And don't forget if you're a host of a growing event, reach out to me and I'll see what I can do from there, but get your events on the calendar. If you want to make them big.
Rob (11:15.054)
Oh, right. All right.
Rob (11:27.734)
Yes. And if I may, we tested eventsy at Munzee events for for Munzee mania. Sorry for Munzee madness. Too many crazy names. Anyway, we tested it. It went well. The geocaching vlogger put out a video about it. So if you want to check it out and if you've never if you've never used eventsy at a Munzee event, watch that one. If you used it long ago.
Craig (11:29.322)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
yes.
Mm-hmm.
Mendez.
Craig (11:48.073)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (11:57.206)
see how it looks now. Good video, check it out. We're testing it again. I believe we're testing it this weekend. Another location, another event because we want to make sure that everything is working properly, including the information that we provide the hosts upfront and assuming that that goes well, then the conversation with Lou is that that is going to be released to the world, possibly as early as April.
Craig (11:58.571)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (12:03.178)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (12:07.71)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Rob (12:26.07)
But that is again, fingers crossed that all the testing goes well in our second test, because as we all know, us making sure that it works properly before full release is definitely important. We are doing that well this time.
Craig (12:26.357)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (12:37.926)
Absolutely. A couple of things did come out from the events he stuff too on in California. And one role was that people are asking, does it count towards points for Muncie points as well?
Rob (12:51.946)
we're having a conversation on the back end about that right now. And, I will say that, the answer is possibly.
Craig (12:54.641)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Craig (13:01.002)
Mm hmm. Possibly the other quote, the other question was in regards to badges, Munsey badges, because there was badges back in the day as well for a event. See too. So, so there was badges attached back in the day. Not sure whether they're to be badges again for up and coming. That's a, that's another possibility. Mm hmm. Possibly. I know, I know. No, no, no.
Rob (13:17.702)
You are correct. The answer is possibly. can't can't I can't attach a timeframe nor can I say yes, because saying yes, and or a timeframe is something that I'm not good at attaching while working the details with the team.
Craig (13:30.356)
That's, that's, no.
Craig (13:36.766)
Exactly. And one more thing. This one actually came through from watching Joshua, the geocaching vloggers video. And there was a question asked, are these going to come back as a weekly thing? What's a, what's a weekly back in the day? What happened back in the day?
Rob (13:51.064)
Okay. So what people are talking about there is what we did during the lockdown worldwide lockdown for COVID when doing events was frowned upon or difficult or, you know, not possible in some regions around the world. So we, as a team, as a company, put those together and we ran them. We had a great time with it. That was specific to that time because
Craig (14:02.334)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Craig (14:17.566)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (14:18.526)
we had a team that could run that and be in charge of it. We do not have that resource at the time at this time. Is it something that we might pivot to? Possibly. There you go.
Craig (14:21.502)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (14:34.25)
Possibly another possibly. I like it. I like it. All right, Rob there we go from a Vensi a point of view moving on now March bonus days as well Don't forget this weekend 20th to 22nd for mailbox owners only you have double points on greenies cards flats jewels and mysteries as well And tell us Rob about the the other one. There's one the lucky four-leaf clover,
Rob (14:55.562)
Yes. So we had a lucky four leaf clover sale that is going on currently. It will run through the end of the month and it's a buy three, get one free, sale. So that sale includes quite a few different products, that, know, you might find useful, to complete some plan requirements you might find useful for, you know, getting additional points.
Craig (15:08.692)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (15:13.034)
Hmm.
Rob (15:23.214)
It includes shamrocks because this is you know based around st. Patrick's Day. That's when it launched But it's by three you get one free shamrocks magnets quick grows Eva resets flats jewels evos mysteries There's quite a list of things you will need to check the blog click the link there. You can find everything If you go to check out and you think that you have enough of something
Craig (15:44.458)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (15:50.83)
and you do not see the discount applied and you do not see a reduced price, then you'll want to go back to the blog. You'll want to confirm that the things you have in your cart are there. You'll want to have multiples of four. If you want to have the things free, because again, buy three, get one free, multiples of four from these sets of items will provide the lowest cost item for free. Think.
Craig (15:55.668)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (16:03.887)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Rob (16:18.286)
carefully about that because if you buy three flats and something that is $2, you will get the $2 item free because the flats are in the $4 price range. So think about it. You could always put in multiple orders if you are wanting lower priced items and higher priced items. Just trying to help everybody out. Mystery, for example.
Craig (16:20.069)
Craig (16:32.766)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Craig (16:41.478)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Rob (16:48.142)
$2. If you get three flats and a mystery, the mystery is free. That's not quite the same value as getting four flats where you get the fourth flat free. Anyway, look, look at your total before you click purchase.
Craig (16:49.405)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (16:53.332)
The mystery is free. Yeah. Yep.
Craig (16:59.956)
Correct, correct, that makes sense.
Craig (17:07.016)
Yes, yes. And what you said before Rob as well, and that is if you are looking at getting groups of different things as well, then probably the best bet is to do it in groups. So in other words, if you want to get four jewels, get four jewels, check out. Get four EVOs, check out. Get four mysteries, check out. So you can check out after each one and therefore you get the fourth one free rather than having the cheaper ones as the freebies as well. So there's best value for the dollar, best bang for the buck as they say as well.
Rob (17:23.438)
Yeah. Yeah.
Rob (17:32.663)
Yes.
Rob (17:36.821)
Indeed.
Craig (17:37.937)
Speaking about bangs Rob and bouncing a bouncing virtual gardens are back. There's a new shamrocks been launched that one sold out now that one sold out very very quickly That's bouncing around for six weeks now and up until Thursday the April 28th that the shamrock will be bouncing around so Don't forget as well with these bouncing virtual gardens in general. They are going to bounce at most events. I'll say most events
so I'm trying to, I'm trying to be like you, Rob, I'm trying to sort of round things out.
Rob (18:06.274)
Yes. It's important to the ground that we lay is one that doesn't guarantee because yeah, those events, there are tiers of events, I would say, you know, that receive a bit more.
Craig (18:15.113)
Mm-hmm.
No, no.
Craig (18:23.334)
Mm-hmm. Yeah, exactly.
Rob (18:28.622)
So pay attention to those and if you're a host of those events, be sure that you set your BVG locations is at the very bottom of the admin screen. Don't forget.
Craig (18:30.409)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (18:37.628)
I was going to say that that exactly right. And also at the same time as well, if you're just a player that's turning up for any of the, the events or not even turning up to events because these can bounce around when events aren't occurring, then set your timer through cup of Z for notifications for a particular radius that you can actually get a BVG that may or may not bounce around your house. I've seen several people now Rob on the water cooler say, you know, my goodness, I came home from work and look what was over top of my house.
way where they are bouncing are they're bouncing on items that are that are capped every single day, you know, so different wishing wells and different tree houses and things like that too. So if these, these things are being kept every single day, then it's more likely of a chance that you may or may not get a bouncing virtual garden at some point in time on those particular things as well. So make sure you get out there, play every single day. Rob, what else is happening? There's four planets coming out now too. Very, very soon.
Rob (19:14.989)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (19:36.44)
There are some excellent pixel planets. We announced that these are coming. So we didn't tell everyone about the shamrock in advance, just for the sake of old school, BBG launch. And, and so we have said that, that these are going to be going out. So the planets are earth, Saturn, Jupiter, and the sun. and then, those are going on sale from March.
Craig (19:46.154)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (19:50.142)
Yeah, chuck me out there.
Craig (20:01.95)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (20:05.742)
23rd, which is Monday, and that's going to start at 12 noon, midday MHQ. And those are going to be staggered as we have been doing in the past over the 18 hour time period to allow for everyone around the world to get a BBG pen. These are very good value. They are temporary. They last for six weeks, but I will continue to say
Craig (20:08.81)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (20:20.223)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (20:28.298)
Mm-hmm. They really are.
Rob (20:35.47)
This is the most valuable thing over a six week period that we have ever done. It's unbelievable. Wow. Yeah. Yeah. I, and I love it. Honestly, this has been because of the tools that Sam built, we were able to do this with cup of Z gardens. And this was an expansion that we had talked about for a long time and
Craig (20:41.677)
It really is. It really is. One, one. Yeah. Yeah.
Craig (20:56.916)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (21:02.46)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Rob (21:04.34)
It's something that makes sense in terms of player value for a single purchase. So it's been really, really good to see the response from the players and when they're out there and they're bouncing and they're getting capped and the number of cap ons like it's just it's just unbelievable. That's all there is to it. So get out there. Get a pen.
Craig (21:10.698)
Mm-hmm.
Yes.
Craig (21:25.394)
Mm-hmm.
That's right. That's right. These, these ones here, when we talk about cap on points, so we're talking of anywhere between two, three, sometimes even 400 caps, over the six week period as well for these here. So, highly, highly sort of heads. The reason why is Rob that we've limited it to one, one pin per person, per garden as well. So therefore it's, can't get so buy up an entire BVG garden for yourself. that may be the track rubble soon. See.
and they are staggered, we said before, they are staggered as well for sales for them over 18 hour period. So therefore it allows other players outside the us of a to, to have them predominantly at your best times as well. Rob, lastly, but not least is the, the mailbox itself is, is out and about now and it is an absolute full swing. Now I've been starting to some good prizes from the mailbox as well.
There was an issue with the badge when it first started out, that's, that's been rectified now. Robbie's done the, that's all sorted. You've been retroactively given the badge with the proper badge for it and the whole lot too. But the prizes, Rob, tell us a little bit about the prizes. like some of these prizes that are coming out.
Rob (22:26.158)
Mm-hmm.
Rob (22:35.47)
They're great. Like that's pretty much all I can say about it because I haven't memorized what the list is. But when Mari sent me, here's the suggestion, here's what I'm recommending for the prizes. I looked at it and was like, well, that's increased value from previous ones, isn't it? And this one is in between, as far as it's not seven days or 10 or 14 or the full mailbox of 30, 31.
Craig (22:36.745)
Yeah.
Craig (22:40.262)
Mm-hmm. No, I know.
Craig (22:46.399)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (22:52.362)
Yes, it was.
Craig (23:01.204)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Rob (23:05.294)
This one came in at a different price point. came in a different number of days. It's got all the cards for every single day. It's got, uh, I believe it's called the fluffy fortune mailbox, something like that. Okay, good. I, uh, I started mine yesterday. I need to get mine today, um, so that I can get the prizes to the, um, the little, uh, Whittle that is a goose or whatever.
Craig (23:08.902)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Craig (23:17.736)
Yeah, that's it. yeah, That's the one. Fluffy fortune.
Craig (23:30.014)
the widow. I know, I know.
Rob (23:32.686)
Cool as usual. It's a it's a goose, but it's a gourd. So it's a carved gourd. If you would like what? Where do you come up with this? I love it. It's so much fun. So there are several like the the reason that they're great prizes because there's some of the new things because what I do remember is like the sea monster. That's coming. I don't think we tell people all the prizes, so as I say it, I'm going. I don't know which day.
Craig (23:38.074)
Yeah, I know. I know.
Craig (23:49.514)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (23:53.116)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah.
No, we don't.
Craig (24:01.418)
That's right. That's right. Yeah. The Whittle is the very first one that we got to. So that was really cool. And I did see on the watercolor Rob that that brand new Whittle is someone's now favorite Whittle because they like the look, they like the design, they like the name, they like the style. So there you go. That brand new Whittle out there is someone's favorite Whittle.
Rob (24:01.774)
But I'm telling you, if you don't have this, there's a sea monster that will be released from this, all right? There's a whittle that you get yesterday, so if you... Yeah. Anyway.
Craig (24:30.074)
of all the whole Whittle series. Really, really cool. And one other thing I'll say as well, this might be a spoiler alert, but I did see Rob on the list that there may or may not be a surprise wheel too on that list. know their, I know their favorites too. I know.
Rob (24:42.958)
You tell them one of the prizes I tell them one of the prizes what we've listed is more than well It's almost exactly $20 in value, which is the cost of the mailbox and we've only listed three prizes there 18 other prizes That will total more than the cost of the mailbox. Anyway, you I can get animated about how kind
Craig (24:54.386)
Three things.
Mm-hmm. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
Rob (25:12.622)
Mari is the whole team is but.
Craig (25:13.866)
I was going to say, is, but Mari in particular.
Rob (25:17.678)
She's been in charge of prizes for mailboxes for quite a few mailboxes now. I don't push back on these things because she has players interests in mind on what makes the most sense. Thank you, Mari.
Craig (25:19.398)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
Craig (25:30.161)
Mm-hmm, exactly.
Exactly. There we go. All right, Rob, moving on now. I've got a question of the week. This one actually comes from the rumor mill. Are you ready for this one, Rob? This is a rumor mill question. I have actually I don't know the answer to this one as well. And the rumor mill states, does using crowbars on crates change the reward that you get from the crane?
Rob (25:42.124)
Yeah.
Rob (25:55.042)
Now my initial answer is no. However, I'm not 100 % sure because the team has had multiple conversations. I don't know where those conversations are in lifespan or, or the circle of life. and so I'm going to say, I don't think so rather than no, because that's a definite answer. So
Craig (26:01.374)
Ha ha ha ha.
Craig (26:05.639)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (26:12.607)
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Craig (26:21.074)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Rob (26:23.436)
I'm going with I don't think so. The conversation is out there. I would love for someone to well, you know what? They can't prove it because they don't know. Here's what I know. I know that when a crate is created, a prize is designated. I know that I can check every single crate that's out there. I don't think that it gets changed based on crates. Only the number changes.
Craig (26:32.721)
No, that's right.
you
Mm Okay. Yes. Right. Right.
Craig (26:46.442)
So technically it doesn't get changed. So technically we don't think it's changed using crowbars. However, how this room may or may not have come about, I'm thinking now Rob as well, is that there's been some bonus events that we've held in the past few months whereby if you use a crowbar on a crate, then you double whatever pops out. So you double the cubimole that pops out too.
Rob (27:09.72)
That in particular is the conversation that I'm replaying in my head that I wasn't sure where we were in having used it. So for, for the fact that you've said that I'm closer to the answer of no than I am to, I don't think so. My percentage went up anyway for, for now, let's just go with no, I don't think so.
Craig (27:14.954)
Yeah.
Mm-hmm.
Craig (27:23.945)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (27:28.842)
Yeah.
Craig (27:34.441)
Yeah, for now, for now, but things change and things are very malleable in the Munzee world. So there you go. All right, Rob, we're to end it today with the Munzee tip of the week and this tip. got, I got a really long email. Nice. Actually, I shouldn't say long. It's a nice, a nice detailed email from toxin over in the UK. Good friend toxin over there as well. I know, right? Lots of things in this email, lots of tips, lots of tricks. I've put a full list now on the bottom of my show notes. So we don't have to scramble every
Rob (27:39.175)
aren't they? Aren't they?
Rob (27:55.245)
Nice!
Rob (28:02.914)
Ooh.
Craig (28:03.068)
Wednesday morning for a new tip of the week for a couple of weeks anyway. He asked for something else as well, which I had to speak to Sam about and that's impossible, but that's okay. Meanwhile, this one here is a tip of the week from Toxin. He said to me, at the end of the month, don't, that's right, don't trash your curates, your crates. Just leave them full and dismiss the pop-up to open them. And what happens then is that when you
Rob (28:22.748)
crates, yes. Interesting. Why? Why not?
Craig (28:32.008)
get into the third of the month, you can then open them up and get rid of them that way rather than having to grab another crate and then dismiss that crate. once you're going to dismiss a crate once a day. Yeah. So don't actually open the crates in the last part of the month until the beginning of the new month.
Rob (28:45.486)
Wow.
Rob (28:53.132)
Now that is interesting because you're right. If you dismiss that, open your crate, then you have to go in and you have to manually choose the crate and it shows green and then you can open it. Wow. What a tip. Toxin on it. Wow.
Craig (28:59.241)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (29:03.274)
Correct. See? That's a good tip. Toxin tips. I know the toxin tips we'll call them. The toxin tips of the week.
Rob (29:15.278)
That's perfect. just scrolled to the bottom. Yeah. Hey, stay tuned. If you don't come for anything else, come to the last two minutes of the podcast for at least the next couple of weeks because toxin is going to help everyone around the world.
