Craig (00:01.553)
Welcome to the official Munzee podcast.
MN Boy (00:03.914)
I'm Tim, also known as Minnesota Boy, your co host and part of the Munzee team.
Craig (00:08.196)
And I'm great. Wow, you you sound very different, Rob. I'm also known as Seemyshell. I started as an avid Munzee player, now proudly part of the team.
MN Boy (00:15.638)
Each week we'll delve into Munzees mysteries, divulge some secrets, and inform players from around the world just what's coming your way.
Craig (00:21.661)
So sit back, relax, it's today's episode. We've got lots to talk about, Tim. but first and foremost, I nearly did it. I nearly called you Rob. If you listened before, you've jumped in in Rob's seat before, Tim. And in in that episode, I think it was nine times I actually called you Rob by mistake. So what I'm gonna say straight off the bat, and that is, if you're listening to this podcast and it's before lunchtime, make sure you've got a cup of coffee. If you're listening to this after lunchtime, get a cold you know, alcoholic beverage if you so wish.
MN Boy (00:25.282)
We do.
MN Boy (00:32.328)
Yes, I have.
MN Boy (00:38.754)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (00:51.749)
In your hand. Every time I mistakenly call Tim Rob, then feel free to have a drink and just let's see if you finish a cup of coffee or if you if you get hammered before you the end of the podcast. You never know. That we may sound better, Tim, as well. We may I actually, you know, people might actually understand me if they've got s slightly alcohol in their system. But anyway. Anyway, apart from that, Tim, what have you been up to, mate?
MN Boy (01:02.542)
Yeah, who knows? Who knows?
MN Boy (01:09.602)
Yeah. Yeah.
MN Boy (01:17.802)
a couple of things, Craig. I was so exciting recently to pass a hundred million points on my Munsey account. I know. Pretty cool, huh? And most of that was over the years. Not I was not on the team most most of that time. and just you know, slogging through Munsies and going to big events and you know, yeah, it it's it's finally it's good to get into that that triple digit millions.
Craig (01:19.484)
Mm.
Craig (01:23.116)
well done, sir. Well done. Well done, sir.
Mm-hmm.
Craig (01:34.983)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (01:40.327)
Well welcome welcome to the the party, just say I I beat Rob to that no no I didn't beat Rob to that party, but we are you are you are gaining on Rob. Shh He won't listen to this episode, so that's okay.
MN Boy (01:42.761)
thank you, thank you. Thank you.
MN Boy (01:51.7)
I am gaining on Rob by by i by one to two million points a month, generally. Yeah.
Craig (01:57.179)
Yes. I've noticed that because of our guild that the three of us are in. I've no I've kept an eye. I've keep an eye on these things. I watch. I watch and and making sure that you don't actually gain any on me. But anyway. What else has been happening, mate? Anything else has been happening for you before we get into it? of course.
MN Boy (02:00.334)
Uh-huh.
MN Boy (02:06.094)
No.
MN Boy (02:11.754)
Well, it's the beginning of the month. It's the beginning of the month. And I know we're going to talk about hybrid months packs later in this podcast. But it was it is the beginning of the month, and that means that for me, shipping out stickers, there's a lot of hybrid months packs that go out at the beginning of the month. A lot of people signed up for the the subscription and they do it at the beginning of the month, so it just kind of comes around. And so it's just a lot of mail, a lot of envelopes going out.
Craig (02:16.647)
Yeah.
Craig (02:24.595)
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
Craig (02:32.163)
Mm-hmm. That's right, just like this podcast. There's a lot of mail. Anyway, moving on to the events from last weekend in the USA, we had Michigan and Indiana and around the world, mate.
MN Boy (02:42.479)
One in the UK and one in Germany.
Craig (02:44.561)
That's true. Leaderboards over the weekend. Now, this is this is one of those weekends, Tim, whereby, you know, it's the start of the month. And as a lot of people understand, the first and second of the month don't actually account towards the gauntlet games requirements for that particular month. inclusive to you ready for this? I'm gonna start with a tip straight away. Inclusive of those people who obtain crates on the first and second, for instance, you know, are not
MN Boy (03:00.247)
Right.
MN Boy (03:10.775)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (03:12.175)
are not gonna if you open them the from the third onwards they're not counted as a crate. You gotta you gotta obtain the crate on the third or after as well. So the tips just flying out already. so anyway the leaderboards over the weekend I thought I thought to myself you know when I'm looking at the show notes I thought you know these leaderboards gonna be low. no that's not the case especially on Saturday which is the first but anyway Friday leaderboard we'll get into it straight away in first place we had Brasilia with three hundred and thirty four thousand points second place Herbie
MN Boy (03:19.244)
Yeah. Yep.
MN Boy (03:39.576)
No.
Craig (03:40.925)
297,000 points. And in third place, Jaslav Kass with 288,000 points on Saturday, mate, with the millionaire on the first.
MN Boy (03:48.662)
Yeah, on Saturday we had one one person over a million. In fact, they got to two point five million. That is plenty. SMV, followed in second place by Sweet Mother of God. Two hundred and forty-six thousand points. And then Vadotech in third with two hundred and thirty-six thousand.
Craig (04:00.262)
Yeah.
Craig (04:06.626)
Nice. I love that name. Sweet Mother of God. If if you're listening to this podcast and that's your name, your Munzie name is Sweet Mother of Well done to you. I I enjoy that's the second time I've read it out on the podcast at some point in time. So there we go. On Sunday, we had Coca-Cola Marty. That's a new name. Coca-Cola Marty, 257,000 points. And I wonder what beverage they drink. Second place, Jarislov Cass, 213,000 points. And in third place, again.
MN Boy (04:08.686)
That's a good one, sweet motor.
MN Boy (04:13.474)
Yeah. Yeah.
MN Boy (04:19.958)
Yeah, it's a good one. It's a good one.
MN Boy (04:25.826)
Yeah, I think so.
MN Boy (04:30.958)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (04:36.102)
Vado Tech, our good friend of the podcast, two hundred and three thousand points. Well done to Vadotec in third place again. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So is Vadotech, is he in Minnesota now? Where is he now?
MN Boy (04:38.614)
Yeah. There he is.
MN Boy (04:45.302)
You know, he spends a lot of time here in Minnesota. I'm not sure exactly where his homes he would say his home is. 'cause I think it's Arizona in Minnesota. Is that correct?
Craig (04:54.362)
Yeah, I think it was Arizona itself too, so
MN Boy (04:56.61)
But that's how you s get the big points, right? You move around. Yeah.
Craig (04:59.642)
This is true. This is true. Weekend events coming up this weekend. We have Massachusetts, Iowa, Arizona, South Carolina, Texas and Indiana and around the world, mate, we have
MN Boy (05:09.428)
Ontario, Canada, one in Germany, two in Denmark, one in Finland, one in Luxembourg, and then one in Australia, but it says V I C.
Craig (05:18.834)
I knew you wouldn't get it. Rob Rob knows it.
MN Boy (05:21.022)
And I'm I am not clear on all of the Australian states. You call states, is that correct? Okay. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Well we have those two. Yeah. you just go quickly through them, I'll 'cause I don't know them. Yep. All right.
Craig (05:25.102)
Acronyms. We've got six states and two territories. Just to be just to be different. So okay, okay, we're gonna I'm gonna deep dive now quickly. Vic Victoria. S A South Australia. And yes, that's that's actually the state, South Australia. WA Western Australia, N T
MN Boy (05:41.518)
I don't know. Yeah, South. okay. I'm gonna guess West Australia. Okay, Western, gotcha. NT is I don't know. Well okay. Queensland?
Craig (05:53.975)
Northern Territory. So that's a territory. QL D. Yes, Queensland. Well done. NSW. There you go. So New South Wales and Queensland are the biggest two states when it comes to populations. ACT.
MN Boy (06:02.934)
New South Wales.
Okay.
MN Boy (06:11.992)
A C T has something to do with the capital, but I don't know what the letters mean. Okay. All right.
Craig (06:15.503)
Australian capital territory. So that's the other territory. and then we can't leave out the the the last one. T A S. There you go. Tasmania, all the way down south, an island off the off the continent of Australia. So there you go. All right. Now you know some more geography of Australia. Now do you ship down to Australia too, don't you, Tim?
MN Boy (06:22.656)
Which is Tasmania. Yeah.
MN Boy (06:29.262)
Very good. Yes, we do. I do. You know, there's a lot of Munzie players in Australia. Yeah. A lot.
Craig (06:38.523)
Yeah. I w I wonder how long it takes for them to get their stickers down down in Australia. Yeah.
MN Boy (06:43.767)
You know, I don't I really don't know the answer to that. I'm I'm thinking it's generally about two weeks. Yeah. Yep.
Craig (06:48.955)
Okay, well let let me know. If you if you're in Australia, you know how to hit me up. Let me know how long does it take roughly for you to get your stickers from Tim, all the way from Minnesota, all the way down. speaking of Minnesota, that's the big event coming up September 17 now. At twenties. Not not eighteen to twenty. They've chucked in another event, Tim. Five events, four days. Munzie Mania in Minnesota. Do you I heard that you mu you Minnesotans love me saying it that way. Is that true?
MN Boy (06:55.497)
I w I would like to know.
MN Boy (07:07.649)
Yes, of course. Why not?
MN Boy (07:12.888)
Mm-hmm.
MN Boy (07:18.08)
It is it is something that we joke about, correct? Yes, absolutely. But yes.
Craig (07:20.403)
I just like they joke about Minnesota Boy, Minnesota Boy, Minnesota Boy. so yeah, five events, four days. That's gonna be a big one. Now you you obviously you're gonna be at that one, aren't you, Tim?
MN Boy (07:30.666)
I am gonna be there all of those events. I'm a sponsor of the Munsee Mania events as well. so yeah, come to Minnesota. It's great in September, great weather. you can come in there as as most people know, Minnesota, the Twin Cities area is is a real big hotbed of Munsey. So if you've never been here before, we have gardens everywhere. if you just focused on the Mall of America area itself, you could spend a couple of days there just capping, capping, capping. It's crazy.
Craig (07:35.206)
Mm, mm.
Craig (07:46.194)
Yeah.
Mm-hmm.
Craig (07:54.076)
And
You can get RSI in your fingers from the from hand capping, all that sort of stuff. Well, that's actually a good point, Tim. If you've never been to Minnesota before, if you're a Munzi player, never been there, then this is your time to go. Make sure though you have all your blasts in hand, make sure you have some other boosters like, you know, virtual capture boosters, all the stuff in hand as well, ready to go. And you could possibly, possibly break the record, Colcracker Seven's record from California, where she got nine million points in a day.
MN Boy (08:00.108)
Yeah.
MN Boy (08:19.307)
Mm-hmm.
MN Boy (08:26.39)
Yes. 'Cause if you hadn't yes.
Craig (08:27.429)
Nine million is the record. So you've got to beat the nine million to get Cole Cracker's record. So me too. It's but it is a possibility if you haven't been a minute, absolute possibility. So the sorry, the next one after that is vivo Las Vegas, November 6th, 7th, 8th, Munzie Mirage in Las Vegas. Again, five events over three days there, too. So the will attends there are popping up as well. So I mean.
MN Boy (08:33.28)
I would love to see it happen.
Yeah.
What's the next big event that's gonna happen, Greg?
MN Boy (08:45.132)
No Vegas.
Yes.
MN Boy (08:53.986)
Good, good, good.
Craig (08:55.205)
I'll be honest, I've been to Vegas a couple of times now. I really enjoy Vegas. would I love to see some Munsey events in Vegas? Absolutely. You know, you can you you can either spend your money and do the blasts of Vegas or just go to the casino and waste it from there. It's up to you. So exactly. After that, January 14, 15, 16, 17, that's right, another four days, five events. Munsey Mecca in Florida, followed by February 5th, is coexisting in Yuma.
MN Boy (09:10.254)
Yes. Your choice.
MN Boy (09:19.784)
Mm.
Craig (09:23.279)
Ara zona. So there you go. I I think they're really well spread out too, Tim, I'll be honest with you. You know, September, then you October's free, then November you got the the Vegas and then December's free, then January, you got, you know, Florida. I like how they're spread out that way too. So
MN Boy (09:23.319)
Yes.
MN Boy (09:37.514)
I d I do too and I I appreciate going to Florida in January. So yeah.
Craig (09:41.619)
of course. How many feet of snow do you have to plunge through to the airport to get out?
MN Boy (09:46.414)
Yeah, I mean, yes. I mean, January's a good time to get out. You know, it's post Christmas, you know, January you just want to leave, so
Craig (09:55.092)
Exactly. and then l and then get back there before it summer hits in Florida. I'll say that much because it's it's hot here as well. So there we go. But also, Tim, I can say this now with with kind of assurity, and if I'm wrong, then obviously Sam's gonna tell me that I'm wrong as well. But it's a it's a possibility where things have been happening, and that is it's important listen up very carefully, it's important that you go to if you're going to an event.
MN Boy (10:01.07)
Yes, yes. Yeah.
Craig (10:23.099)
You click your intentions. In other words, you click that little I'm going button. There's two reasons for it. Number one, the main reason is obviously you're letting the host know that you're that how many people are actually going to be attending so they can make sure that they have enough things in place and you know, places, locations, that sort of thing as well. but also this is new, this is brand new. There there may or may not be in place now or coming up.
MN Boy (10:40.13)
Uh-huh.
Craig (10:47.867)
An algorithm in place whereby you can attract BVGs, the bouncing virtual gardens, based upon the attendees. So what I mean by that is, say, say, for instance, Tim, you and I, and there's say eight others, so ten people are attending an event, and we've all ten of us have all you know captured the the rainbow garden event for the rainbow garden BVG. If that's is that going to bounce it out event? Probably not, because we've all capped it. You see what I mean? So it's not not doesn't attract those.
MN Boy (11:12.589)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Craig (11:15.077)
What it will attract is if all ten of us haven't capped a particular one, it will attract that one bam to that event, you see. So yeah, there's so make sure you click your I'm goings on the calendar. And Tim, more importantly, if you're going to the big events like Munzy Mania, Vegas, the whole lot, don't just click one, say I'm going. Go in and out of each event that you're gonna go to and click I'm going because they are on different locations. You can attract different BVGs, etc. And also it does help with the
MN Boy (11:21.622)
Craig (11:44.785)
the the hosts themselves knowing how much I mean I know I know Minnesota, Jake and and and Bob and all the team, they put on a spread even, like sometimes there's food, like you know, there's yeah.
MN Boy (11:45.9)
Yeah, yeah. Absolutely.
MN Boy (11:52.558)
Mm-hmm. Yeah. There's food, water bottles. you just want to know how many people are going to be there. You want to have an idea like, I've got this pavilion. I know it can hold this many people. you want to know who's going to be there. So yeah, put those Willotens down. It is something that really helps people out.
Craig (12:00.432)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (12:04.328)
Yeah.
Craig (12:08.658)
Mm-hmm.
Absolutely. So we get them in itself. And if you're a host of a growing event, reach out to me and we'll discuss it from there and how you can actually get your event to be go go mega mega events of fifty or more. So all right, Tim. I almost that was close. I caught myself then. Thank you, sir. I appreciate that. Developments and from this week. First and foremost, d bonus days for this week. Bonus days every single day.
MN Boy (12:19.808)
All right.
MN Boy (12:27.158)
Yeah, you're doing good. You're doing good.
MN Boy (12:35.031)
honesties, yeah.
Craig (12:38.097)
Wednesday for the month of August, we have Whittle Wish Wednesday, which means double Whittle deploys on the first and foremost. And what that means is that you they're a free thing when you get Whittles. You've got if you've got Whittles, they're free to actually redeploy them utilizing your free stars, you know, from your daily strolls. if you do it on Wednesdays, it instead of throwing out one, it'll throw out two Whittles. You see what I mean? So it does it that way as well. So so that's good.
MN Boy (12:55.597)
Yes.
MN Boy (13:04.812)
Nice.
Craig (13:05.327)
Every single Wednesday at the same time, it's ten times the points on wishing wells every Wednesday as well. So I know they're only ten points, but hey, ten points to a hundred points, you know, it's a big deal. And if you're using a double v virtual booster as well, then that's a two hundred points per wishing well. See, so that's how it works. mate, there's also scatter Saturdays. Tell us about Scatter Saturdays. Yeah.
MN Boy (13:16.141)
Mm-hmm.
MN Boy (13:19.673)
yeah. Very good.
Yeah, scatter Saturdays. I love scatter Saturdays because, you know, you go out and you cap those Munsies that throw scatters and some of them, you know, throw various amounts. Some only throw one, but some throw maybe one to three scatters. well, on scatter Saturdays, that's double. So you might get two to six scatters flowing from one cap. of course you can cap those. Everybody's getting the cap on points. So it's like, you know, it's just it can be it can just the map can just explode with color. So it's it's lot of fun.
Craig (13:33.181)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (13:37.604)
Mm.
Craig (13:42.61)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (13:53.132)
Absolutely. Can you imagine though? Can you imagine I love it too on the weekends 'cause it's on Saturdays. If you're in an event and if you're walking around the event itself, capturing the event pins, you know, and there's a few people utilizing VAX, for instance, and then so the VAX just automatically suck up the
the the the scatter types and then they scatter out then the scatters and scatters and scatters and scatters and scatter and the you got several people doing the VAC at the same time. The map soon floods more and more with the actual scatters. And then this 'cause the VAC captures those scatters so they then disappear again. So it comes and goes and comes and goes. They're like waves. So
MN Boy (14:13.934)
Yes.
MN Boy (14:27.02)
Yeah, it it can be a lot of fun. I love Scatter Saturdays.
Craig (14:30.139)
Although I'm saying that some people say there's well, don't don't waste. People think that's wasting a VAC if you use a if you use them and they pick up scatters because the scatters aren't as points as what they are for other things too. So don't s some people say don't waste the VAC on scatter Saturdays. So that's what I love about this game. That's what I love about this game is the way people play it. They all play it differently. Meanwhile, that was close. That was close. See, I picked it up as well.
MN Boy (14:36.677)
Mm. Yeah.
MN Boy (14:44.576)
Well, you know, everybody makes their choice as to how they want to get their points. Yep.
MN Boy (14:57.516)
You've done you've done well.
Craig (14:59.035)
This weekend, sir, August seven to nine. We have double points for everyone, but what are what are they on?
MN Boy (15:05.185)
greenies, cards, flats, gaming and colors. That's all the colors. Every color.
Craig (15:08.313)
Mm-hmm. Now if every colour, the white, the black, all the the plain colours we're talking about, the Crayola colors. Did you know that, Tim? That the actual color names themselves are named after the Crayola pack? Yeah. Yeah.
MN Boy (15:14.006)
Yep.
MN Boy (15:22.318)
I don't think I've really noticed that, but but yeah, there are so many. How many are there, Craig? I think it's is there wow, 72 colors. Wow. Yeah, well, it's something like that. Yeah. It's a lot of them.
Craig (15:26.695)
Seventy two. Yeah, I think it's seventy-two. I don't quote me on that now because I'm d double guessing myself. Sam Sam will let me know and I'll have to correct myself next week. I'll just say that. it's a it's a lot. But also don't forget the double points on greenies. Why? Because you know, greenies are part greeny points are part of the gauntlet games requirements for this month too. So so there you go. something else has happened as well this week itself, August first through to August 9th, is deliver loo.
MN Boy (15:48.332)
Yeah.
Craig (15:56.093)
Tell us more about Deliver Lou, Tim.
MN Boy (15:58.197)
well you you cap the flat los or the fancy flat los and they scatter other things because guess where Rob and Lou are right now?
Craig (16:00.444)
Mm hmm. Yep. Exactly.
They're in France.
MN Boy (16:08.43)
They're in France and they're following the Tour de France Femmes. And yes, so we always throw out the special Lou stuff while they're doing that. And I got a couple of champagne bottles this morning, in fact.
Craig (16:12.827)
That's right.
Craig (16:17.211)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Craig (16:21.619)
if that's the case then you capped one of the the fancy Flatloot's. Yeah. Fancy Flat Loues can scatter up to three champagne bottles. Any other Flatloo can can send up to three grapes, wedges of cheese, or baguettes as well. So August first through to ninth. Now I wonder
MN Boy (16:24.054)
Yes, yes.
Yep.
Craig (16:38.063)
If everyone's waiting to do that on Saturday so they can do Scatter Saturday inclusive of of I gotta I gotta make sure that the that the the the programs in place for that too after I get off the episode just to make sure. Overlap, make sure they overlap. Exactly. there is if you don't have any flatloes around you and you wanna swap them around with other players like c guild friends, etc., then there is a special at the store at the moment. Buy two Flat Lou's and get one free. But as always, you must have three in
MN Boy (16:41.006)
maybe.
MN Boy (16:48.398)
Yeah, do they they overlap? Yes.
Craig (17:07.987)
Your cart and then it'll only charge you for two. Don't buy two is expecting you get one for free. That's not the case. Three in your cart or groups of three. Three, six, nine, twelve, like that. So that's it for the flat loo and the deliver loos. And as I said, up until the end of August ninth. meanwhile, now we're gonna get onto the August Muns packs. This is where I want to talk to you about, Tim. So the August is ready for a new thing, a new pack rats come out. They're called a jackhammer pack rat. Do you like these pack rats, Tim?
MN Boy (17:14.21)
That all works. Yeah.
MN Boy (17:28.395)
Okay.
MN Boy (17:36.918)
I do like the pack rats. They're like the Whittles, you just all this cool artwork and I I it's you know, more bouncers, hey, the more bouncers the better, right? Things bouncing around the map. Love it.
Craig (17:39.569)
Yeah.
Craig (17:45.68)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Exactly. this one here, the Jackama. I love the style of these too. They're more very steampunk looking. Sort of the pack rats. If you haven't seen the pack rats and yeah, they're part of the Muns packs themselves and you can purchase those. tell us more about the how they purchase, what they need to do, Tim. Because as I said, you do the hybrid packs especially. You're heavily involved in that.
MN Boy (17:53.44)
Yeah. Yeah.
MN Boy (18:01.55)
Yep.
MN Boy (18:06.892)
Yeah. Go I mean go to go to the freeze tag store, search for the Muns packs, you'll find them right away. the the Jackhammer pack right is included in both the hybrid munds pack and the virtual mons pack. so you can pick one of those up. but yeah, I'm specifically involved more in the hybrid ones because that means I have to ship out those twenty five generic stickers that go along with it.
Yeah, so yep, that's the hybrid part of it because you get generic stickers in the mail from me. and you get all of the other stuff, the credits and the virtuals. There's evil resets, there's a bee, there's a pink diamond, there's a potion of plenty, there's a prize wheel in in the hybrid months back. Yeah. there's and then there's some virtuals. There's the there's a Celtic Falcon, there's the Flat Lou in there, which you might need. And there's a three of the new Industrial Revolution cards, which is a new card that's included.
Craig (18:30.099)
So that's where the hybrid. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Craig (18:45.296)
Craig (18:52.627)
there you go.
MN Boy (18:59.374)
Yeah.
Craig (19:00.115)
interesting, interesting. I like that. And and don't forget as well, so some people forget, and I did until you mentioned that the Celtic Falcon. The Celtic Falcon and the all the other Celtic animals still have that twenty-five deploy and a hundred deploy bouncer. and if you don't know anything about it, then first and foremost go and have a look exactly and have a read over the blog. But basically what it is, if you deploy
MN Boy (19:08.184)
Yeah.
MN Boy (19:17.048)
Mm-hmm.
MN Boy (19:23.127)
Yeah.
Craig (19:26.279)
your first twenty five of the one particular style, like the Celtic Falcon is for an example, then you get a temporary bouncer of the Celtic Falcon. that happens every twenty five. So twenty five, then fifty, then seventy five. And then when you deploy a hundred of those, I know it's a lot, but it this doesn't end. Then you get one permanent Celtic Falcon bouncer, you see? So a permanent one. Eventually you'll get there. No.
MN Boy (19:30.776)
Yeah.
Nice.
MN Boy (19:46.486)
Yeah, eventually you'll get there, right? You don't have to do it all at once. Eventually you'll get there.
Craig (19:50.908)
That's right, that's right. I there are a couple that did it all at once, I will say. I I think there there are a a few people like that, they go, I gotta do it all now. You know, they're the ones kinda like me a little bit when it's like, Yeah, I I I need to do everything from the Gauntlet games in the first week of the the month. So th that's that's me normally.
MN Boy (19:54.35)
Yes, there are. Yeah.
MN Boy (20:07.916)
Yeah, yeah. Yeah, and that's why that's what I talked about when you interviewed me for the special birthday episode, which people should go back and listen to if they miss that one. Cause you get to hear from all kinds of staff members at Freeze Tag. but anyway, what I talked about partially when you asked me questions was that you can play this game in any way you want. You can play it so simply you can just cap the physicals you see or the virtuals you come upon.
Craig (20:17.071)
Mm-hmm. that's right.
Craig (20:22.759)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (20:31.635)
Mm.
Craig (20:35.112)
Yeah.
MN Boy (20:35.46)
and not really delve deep into it. But you can go deep and remember things like these Celtic things that are still going on and the the traveling troops that we just did and the I mean it's just a it's an unending amount of things that you can get into in Munzi if you want to. But you really but you don't have to. You can play very simply if you'd like.
Craig (20:38.482)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (20:43.004)
Yeah.
Craig (20:48.499)
I know. Yeah. No.
Exactly. Going back when you said the I just thought about it too. Now W. Helen, he he's the king of this. Now we all know if people people want h high points, then they look at what the big players are doing. For instance, you the Colcrack Sevens, the W. Helens, all the big players themselves. So look back at what and I saw what he did going back last year for the first time. And what he does is when he organizes an event, okay, then he doesn't put out the event pins straight away. He knows where he's going to put them and he plans to put them there, but he doesn't put
put them out because you can't put other physical pins when you've placed the event pin. If you've got the if you've got the the pack where y you know, you don't have the what's it called, the radius pa the radius ones for the event pins, then you can place an event pin over the top
Like or nearby an existing physical pin, but not vice versa. So what he does the day before or whatever, he goes around with all his stickers and all his prize wheels and puts out prize wheels around that loop that he's gonna make the next day or whatever. So that encourages people then to actually cap the prize wheel itself, which in turn gives him cap on points but also cap on prizes. You see? So there you go, Bob.
MN Boy (21:52.339)
Mm-hmm.
MN Boy (21:58.115)
Yeah.
MN Boy (22:06.872)
Yes. Yeah. Yep. If you want if you want big points, do what the big point players do. Yeah.
Craig (22:13.575)
Big point players do exactly. But yeah, I saw that when he did that and I went, you know, that's so smart. Some people, but don't forget as well, and this is again, speaking of smart players, VadoTech is one of them as well. VadoTech so told me as well, make sure that you don't do all prize wheels, physical prize wheels, do a couple of greenies in there as well. And the reason for that is people are capping the the event pins, people are capping the prize wheels, people are capping physical stickers, which then
MN Boy (22:19.521)
Yeah.
MN Boy (22:25.176)
Yes.
Craig (22:43.033)
opens their crates. You don't get a new crate from a prize wheel. You do get a new crate though from a greenie. So make sure you have greenies in that loop so people can pick up crates as well.
MN Boy (22:44.087)
Yes.
Yeah. Yes, I've I've
I have been at events where I've I've opened the crates that I have and then it's like I need another greenie to come along and then hopefully there is one. Yeah.
Craig (22:56.785)
Yeah. That's right. That's right. So that's see, that wa that was that information was from VadoTech. See? So all the big players. All the big players. So thank you for all the tips, everyone out there as well. All right, Rob, we're gonna move along to the I did it. I did it. I did it. We're gonna move along. I picked it up after the fact.
MN Boy (23:04.194)
Wow. So many tips.
MN Boy (23:13.356)
You did it. You finally did it.
MN Boy (23:19.629)
Ha ha.
Craig (23:19.687)
The gauntlet games requirements. Now, there has been some talk on the on the water cooler in regards to you know the new gauntlet games. I will say Rob did these ones. I'll throw him under the bus last last week as well. He did all these ones. the only thing I've seen people talk about is the wishing wells. Tim, talk to us about the wishing wells. What are your thoughts on the wishing wells?
MN Boy (23:39.584)
Well, I do have some of the same concerns I think that players have with the wishing wells because of their short radius for capturing them. That is the one concern I might have. but overall, the the wishing wells are, you know, Craig, they're free to put out. you can request another one every week. So you just need to use cuppazy. There's a planner on Cupaz Z that Sam has made for us.
Craig (23:47.845)
yeah.
Mm-hmm.
Craig (23:56.167)
This is true. This is true.
Mm-hmm.
Craig (24:04.611)
Mm.
MN Boy (24:07.912)
And it's you can just look at the map before you leave your house and go, okay, I can put one here and then here and then here, you know, maybe on your regular route to work or your regular route to where you go shopping every weekend or whatever. and then you can, you know, get those put out there so that you can build up wishing wells that you can cap. So that when we have requirements like we do this month in the Gauntlet Games.
Craig (24:14.226)
Mm-hmm.
Yes. Yep.
Craig (24:24.562)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (24:30.643)
Mm.
MN Boy (24:33.322)
You can have all those available to you. So now on my way to I only work two miles from where I live. But I have to go also to the post office to drop off all those stickers that I send out. So I make a little loop and I've been able to get five now wishing wells in there that I can cap every day when I go to work. So I'm doing five a day just without going out of my regular routine. Yeah. Yep.
Craig (24:41.139)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (24:53.011)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (24:56.839)
Just a normal routine and still getting five a day, sort of thing. So the yeah, that's right. I will say because I am one of the one of the reviewers for the wishing wells themselves. Now I do go through the queue every single day, if not twice or several times a day. All depends on how busy I am. I will go through that that queue. I will say a couple of tips. First and foremost, you do need to be half a mile from any other wishing well. So half a mile. the that
MN Boy (25:04.802)
Craig (25:23.525)
I'll be honest with you, Tim, that's the only reason why I've actually declined any wishing wheels is because they're in radius of of other ones and I can't move them anywhere else. You know what I mean? Like if I can if they if they're if they're point four of a mile, for instance, away from one, I can look and go okay, and then I can physically move it and then deploy it from there. But but otherwise if they're n too close, then I have to decline it and say it's too close to existing wishing wheels. As you said, Tim, you brought it up. Cup of Z is the best place to actually plan it as well.
MN Boy (25:31.917)
Yeah.
MN Boy (25:37.623)
Yeah.
MN Boy (25:50.06)
Yep, cuppasie.
Craig (25:53.018)
but the biggest thing, Tim, the biggest thing, y like you, you said you go Munseying with your brother, for instance, Gravity Bear, or even your wife as well, Mrs. Minnesota boy. and everyone has got a wishing well request once a week. And so some people, Tim, they'll sit they'll go, Okay, this is a perfect place. They're with their friends. This is a perfect place for wishing. They'll they'll go click to do to deploy one and it doesn't get deployed automatically. It's gone into the it's gone into the
MN Boy (26:01.186)
Yeah. Yep.
Craig (26:22.555)
the list, my our list. so then they go, you try. So then the next person tries. You try. The next person I've had it where I know that there's been four players in a car together and they've all tried to deploy. We get four requests for the wishing well at the same location. Now I I can I can approve one. I can't approve the other three. So the other three can dec get declined. You say what you're better off doing is going, okay, that's that's gone into the queue.
MN Boy (26:23.544)
Yeah. Yep.
MN Boy (26:27.862)
Mm.
Yeah.
MN Boy (26:41.837)
Right.
Craig (26:50.695)
We're gonna move now to the next location and then get the next person to attempt to deploy. And then, you know, half a mile apart, half a mile apart, half a mile apart. So yeah, so that's the way you do it. So plant it out. Exactly. And plant it out. That's right. meanwhile, Rob okay, that's the second time. Every time I say meanwhile or moving on, I always that's I think that that's that's that's my that's my my go-to. But anyway, moving on, Rob.
MN Boy (26:57.942)
Yeah. Yep. Plan it out. Get together with your friends. Yep.
MN Boy (27:07.854)
Number two.
MN Boy (27:12.609)
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Craig (27:19.315)
I will say as well, the other issue people have with Wishing Wells is that they well, if you're a premium member, you can opt to have the Munzi disappear off the map after you've capped it. That's not the case with Wishing Wells. They stay on the map permanently. And so that's a big bugbear, if you like, with a lot of other
MN Boy (27:39.022)
They do.
Craig (27:43.93)
players that that that they don't leave. Now I understand there's a reason for it and the reason for it is that you can come back to that wishing well after you've capped it in order to in order to to deploy a whittle or make a wish and that sort of thing too. So that's the reason for it. But I am just letting everyone know that w you know we hear these things and I understand why and whatever. So I don't know. Sam listens to this episode every single week. He's one of the first to listen to these these podcasts so he may turn around and go, you know what I could do?
Yeah.
MN Boy (28:15.128)
Well, we'll leave that up to the experts, Craig. And the programmers, the people who work on this stuff, Sam or Robbie or Gee, and all these people have lots of things on their plate already and a long list of things that they have to look through. So we'll we'll let them continue on their list. Yes, sir.
Craig (28:17.021)
Correct, correct. Correct.
Craig (28:22.855)
Yeah. They do. They do.
A long list.
Exactly. Speaking of continuing on the list, Tim, we have a Munziey question of the week and this one is directed directly for Tim. So this person knew this person I I told them. so but they wish to remain a remain anonymous. And the question the question is, I have always been curious about Tim's real job. He seems too young for retirement.
MN Boy (28:38.476)
Wow, okay. How did they know I was gonna be here? All right, okay.
MN Boy (28:50.958)
Mm. Yes. Well that what a great compliment to say that I I'm do not look like I am ready for retirement. Although most people probably would not guess. But I will be sixty years old in October.
so yeah. Well, you never know. You never know. You'll be here in September for Munzy Mania, so we can maybe celebrate then. Yeah. But I do have to answer the question, I do have a what quote unquote real job, I guess, if my Munsey job is not real. I do work at a place that manufactures ultrasound equipment, but not for human use, for livestock use.
Craig (29:09.501)
Big party, big party in Minnesota?
Craig (29:15.579)
Correct. Celebrate then and then everyone goes to bed by five PM.
Craig (29:27.739)
Mm-hmm.
MN Boy (29:37.174)
So we make things that detect pregnancy in animals, things that detect a depth of back fat on a on a hog, for instance. we also do this thing, Craig, it's it's a frozen semen thaw jar. Yeah. There you go. if people aren't familiar with the animal husbandry
Craig (29:40.275)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (29:52.507)
Okay.
MN Boy (30:00.874)
industry in the United States and around the world, a lot of animal husbandry is done via artificial insemination. So there's a lot of that kind of product. So we we make something to deal with it.
Craig (30:08.019)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (30:12.893)
Fair enough. Well, my anonymous friend, I dare say he he will be approaching you asking more information about that last one that you described. Do you do stuff for for goats, Tim? Or quad?
MN Boy (30:16.802)
Yeah.
MN Boy (30:26.004)
yes, some of our machines do work for goats. not sure if they would work for your tiny goats. The Nigerian dwarfs. no, nothing for nothing for quail. I think quail are on their own, Craig. They're a dime a dozen.
Craig (30:28.785)
Yeah.
The Nigerian dwarfs? Yeah, no. What about quail? Yeah. Yeah, this is true. The same as the chickens.
You gotta you gotta put put them in the incubator and then wait fifteen days and then get out and and candle them. Get out and candle them. You put all you do for that, Tim, y literally fifteen days goes by, you get out, you put like a flashlight underneath them and to see if there's anything in it. And sometimes there's nothing in it still, after fifteen days, and you throw them out. if there is something in it, then you make sure that they're off the rotation.
MN Boy (30:47.532)
Yep. See what happens. Okay.
MN Boy (30:58.232)
Mm-hmm.
MN Boy (31:01.728)
Okay. Yeah.
Craig (31:06.937)
in in a plane incubator where it doesn't move anymore for the lockdown. And so you leave at that and you you increase their the humidity level too so they don't get shrink wrapped as they're popping out.
MN Boy (31:14.99)
You know, the amazing thing about that is that that that's the way that that has been done for forever, right? Candling. I mean, obviously it actually used candles before, not flashlights, but but yeah, that's still the same way it's done today.
Craig (31:21.914)
yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Craig (31:28.807)
That's right. And everyone's everyone's got one of them on them. It's called a mobile phone. So all right, there you go. Tim, well done for you. And yeah, as I said, that person is gonna definitely gonna hit you up. I'll let you know who it is off the end of the end of the episode. Tim, Munzie tip of the week. This tip of the week, I'm gonna chuck it directly to you, sir. U we have you on rarely, so when we do, I like to get the tip of the week from Tim. Here's Tim's Tim's tip of the week.
MN Boy (31:32.278)
Well there you go.
MN Boy (31:52.46)
Yeah. I I have a good one. And I think I might have mentioned this many, many, many months ago when I first joined the team. but what's important to me, because I ship things out from here, the stickers, the personal tags, the cappy plushies, the coins. I have coins too if anybody wants those. You can get all this on the freeze tag store website. But what I need you to do.
Craig (32:01.277)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (32:08.95)
yeah.
Craig (32:13.143)
of course, yeah.
Craig (32:17.255)
Mm.
MN Boy (32:19.924)
Is when you hit that checkout button before you hit that checkout button, make sure that your shipping address is correct. Your name, your address is correct. So many times I think what happens is it gets caught up in the different payment systems we have, like Apple Pay or Shopify Pay or Google Pay or whatever. And you have an old address in there, for instance, or something has just gotten jumbled. right, sometimes billing address gets in the wrong spot. Just
Craig (32:36.263)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (32:40.507)
Yeah. Or a billing a billing address sometimes different to a
MN Boy (32:47.55)
Make sure that that shipping address portion is correct so that when I send you your stuff that you have purchased, that it gets directly to you without coming back to me first. Yeah, stuff comes back to the PO box and when that happens, I I I I send that information off to Amari or Tamra and they will because they're doing the customer service stuff and they will check with players in one way or another three make sure also make sure your email address in there is correct.
Craig (32:50.973)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (32:57.491)
Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah.
Craig (33:08.562)
Mm-hmm.
Richard.
Craig (33:16.071)
Yeah.
MN Boy (33:16.622)
Because they're going to try to contact you through that email address. they might even contact you in game through the messaging. So pay attention to that if you're ordering stuff. Anyway, that's my tip. Do it right and you will get your stuff.
Craig (33:19.003)
Yeah.
Craig (33:23.708)
Mm-hmm.
Craig (33:29.287)
Great tip. Great tip of the week. Thank you for that, Tim. But meanwhile as well, it don't f if you're in Australia you s you ship to the Australian states too, don't you? Yeah, yeah. So definitely, definitely if you're in Australia, make sure that you have the correct address because it's gonna get all the way there, then all the way back. How long how long does it normally take to get to to Australia? Huh?
MN Boy (33:37.782)
yes, yes, all over the world.
MN Boy (33:43.606)
Yeah. Yes, and that I think it might be a couple of weeks to Australia, but anyone in Australia, if you order something, contact Craig and let him know how long it takes to get stuff shipped to Australia. Yeah.
Craig (33:54.629)
Yeah Yeah, I'd like to I I'm I'm keen to know actually. So yeah, absolutely. I'm keen to know. So there you go. All right, Tim, that ends another official Munzie podcast.
MN Boy (34:05.368)
Thanks for joining us on this Munzie adventure.
Craig (34:07.933)
Don't forget subscribe, rate review on your favourite podcast gap and join us next week for another informative episode.

Craig (34:17.214)
So keep scanning, keep discovering, keep that Munzi spirit alive, Tim. One, two, three, munsey on. we did it the same. Look at that. Wow. So much better than roll.
MN Boy (34:20.904)
Munzi on. Yes. Well, we're good. We're good.
